And I just wanna see how this fares against a game that CerebralTiger was re-affirmed by a demo to be a "day one" purchase but ended up going in the bargain bin, which also happened to be part of the same showcase
This being a survival horror and inspired by one of the modern survival horror masterpieces i.e. RE2 remake has certainly got my attention. I just hope it's not a glitchy mess, which a lot of the western games are these days unfortunately, including its predecessor AW: R, which I had to refund due to it being plagued with graphical bugs that never got fixed.
Ghostrunner 2 is the highly anticipated hardcore FPP slasher set one year after the events of Ghostrunner. Blood will run in this post-apocalyptic cyberpunk future that takes place after the fall of the Keymaster, a tyrant who ruled over Dharma Tower, the last refuge of humanity. The player...
I played it for an hour or so last night just to see if my PC (7800x3d + 3090) can handle path tracing. I haven't been to the section of the game after which combat begins with the cult. The forest seems to be the most demanding part of the game where frames crawl to as low as mid 30s. The game looks absolutely gorgeous though. Not to mention, the overall vibe and the sound design! Looking forward to playing more of it over the weekend.

Texture issues:
Any of you facing issues with the game on PC? I came across a couple of bugs such as: texture streaming issues (Gen 4 nvmE SSD and 3090) and out of video ram on a 24GB GPU (possible vram leak due to changing graphics settings repeatedly?); refusing to load textures at all in some places. I watched a few PC streams and they also seem to have texture issues on a 4090, so I suppose a fix is due from remedy.
I did notice this jank bug though right at the beginning. Fortunately it wasn't a sign of things to come. Its been great so far.
I do recommend these tweaks in the renderer.ini file to clean up the image:
Code:
"m_bDepthOfField": false //I left this on, ymmv
"m_bLensDistortion": false
"m_bVignette": false
"m_fFieldOfViewMultiplier": 1.0 //Personally find 1.3 looks much better

I have heard that it is now unplayable in countries which do not support handful of third world countries not recognized by Sony like Pakistan. Steam is a true global platform.Then they cry that console gaming is dying.
