Advent Children Named Best Anime Feature

I watched Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children shortly after it hit DVD and I have to say, while there were parts of it I enjoyed, overall I felt the experience was disjointed.
Apparently I'm in the minority, Square Enix just announced that the CG film was awarded Best Anime Feature during the American Anime awards held at the New York Comic Con last week.

Yeah the movie was awesome. However i do feel that people new to the Final Fantasy world may find some scenes over exaggerated

no doubt Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children is the cutting-edge next generation Anime movie with the graphics which were never done before! each and every scene in the movie was highly detailed! it's the best CG generated Anime I have ever seen!

keyword there being anime because if you want to talk awesome CG, final fantasy the spirits within blows Advent children to chunks in terms of sheer realism though.

Yep, it does. But both suck very bad in terms of storyline. I was expecting so much from Advent Children...I mean come on! It was just fanservice! Nothing else. How else would you explain Sephiroth getting birth once more and then dying in 10 minutes!!

because he's sephiroth ! he's always come back as long as the darkness in cloud remains.. er.. or somehting along that line.
