avatar is epic.. but as good as it might be... it is nothing new story wise... and is not anything near the best movie of the year...

Well there are many nominations, that are right deserved there. I think Avatar will be the show stealer. But I'm really happy that some under-rated actors and movies have been nominated.

well hurt locker is a better movie than avatar hands down... but it won't win a lot... it should win best director as the direction is crazy good if not the best movie....

The Hurt Locker has got a pretty good chance of winning Best Motion Picture and Director, but Up in the Air may spoil its party. Avatar will not win, most probably, but will get recognition at the Academy Awards, too.

I vote for The Hurt Locker. Avatar was a crappy movie imo but its probably gonna win the award :s

    You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
