Should one go for 3-Phase or Single Phase Electricity Connection for Home?
What are pros and cons?

If there's a choice why would you go for single phase? Having said that it only makes real sense if you have a phase selector. A solid investment in my opinion.

3-Phase bro.

Single Phase is only used when the home is under construction.

If you have air conditioners at home, then definitely 3 phase. Or if you have 2 fridges + 2-3 water motors, then definitely 3 phase.

Its a 4 bedroom double storey home. After construction, 2, 3 ACs, 1 water pump and 2 refrigerators will be used.
In that area there is issue of low voltage too. People use stabilizers with every heavy appliance.
Will 3-Phase will help tp overcome this problem?

I wonder why someone would want a single phase electricity?
Our meters calculate peak load n a factor is applied to over all energy bill so watch out for that. Wapda is bloody loot, they have included many surcharges in a bill so try to avoid those. So never opt for single phase if u have more than two electric appliances ie fridge, ac and iron+kitchen machines etc. If ur load is equally distributed like if u have 1 fridge, 2 ACs and other house holds then distribute each load on each phase that will reduce extra units consumptions.

Stablizer, well Low voltage will sorted out to some extent by stabilizers. Its better to consult ur local area SDO, meet him n convince him to upgrade the transformer in ur area to get rid of low voltage issues. Mostly houses keep added to the grid but when u apply for meter wapda sees if it needs to improve transformer or not. Rarely wapda ignores it but if u have this issue in that area must check neighbors bills too see if they are being charged for low power factor or not. Its a big science, wapda throws most of its inefficiency load n losses on general consumer. So be very meticulous n through. Aik dafa ki khuwari hai zindage Ka sakoon hai.

Yeah its plain and simple....the load is divided on 3 phase meter..
so stick to it..
u will have less unit consumption...as its equally distributed across the 3 phase meter..
hope it makes sense..!!!

Instead of 3-phase try to get 2 separate connections (2 separate meters) because they have a different price slab for first 50 and then, every 100 units. 3 phase might get more expensive instead because the 3 phase digital meters are time Of Use meters which charges the consumer with different rates at different times of the day.
3 phase does not mean cheap even if you divide the load on different phases because the meter is still going to measure the total power consumed it is not going to measure power per phase

" You still use the same amount of KW hours regardless of the phase of the power."

How one can get more than 1 meter on one house n how all of them will be domestic?
It is possible, i do not know about the legality of it, but here in Lahore people even have three meters, if the house has two floors then they have installed separate meters for each floor, and they are domestic

We are using 3 phase con at out office its alot cheaper then home connection because of fixed unit rate

Thats strange, the three phase in my area has different unit rates (peak time, off peak time) depending on time. The digital meters in my area have the options to view the units consumed during these different times, LESCO'S website gives the breakdown of charges during these times..anyone with a 3 phase connection is considered a consumer of >5kw and is charged according to peak time (18 rs Kwh) and off peak ( 12.50 rs kwh)
