Yeah, that was a temporary issue.

Btw, those who got upgraded to the new packages with a slight bump in the price, these are unlisted packages as a promotion for us.

There isn't any time limit on these (as of yesterday).

So - for instance - I'm getting 30Mbps for the price of 20Mbps. If I change my package, I won't be able to come back to this.

Just putting this out there in case anyone's contemplating. I stopped contemplating after I found out.
So I also received the call from CS and they upgraded my 15mbps to 35mbps in just 250/- more

I would not recommend using PTCL Smart TV as it lags alot when you are downloading via internet or streaming youtube too. I am currently using Nayatel and they have best experience in terms of TV as they use Sattelite TV and not IPTV.

I have requested PTCL for a backup connection if they have FTTH in my area otherwise I will just get my local cable internet as a backup.

I was thinking about buying a IPTV subscription with a good andriod box, as cable is really poor in my area.
So far what i have learned is that "Andriod Box" sold on "Daraz" are strange..xD (1GB Ram 8GB Rom is sold as 4/64) lol
Lets say someone is willing to pay decent money for a decent product but these fake andriod boxes fail after some time -.-
So lost atm i even saw people selling same 3300rs andriod box for 15k just by labelling it as 4/64 while its same model same looks same ports.

you are absolutely right android boxes on daraz are complete bullshit and very very low quality. I bought a box for like 4k and it was legit 4/64GB but the processor was very weak it can't even run play store flawlessly and it died about 6 months later as it used to get very hot and shut down itself. I highly recommend MI BOX S or Mi stick either of them is very good , they support 5GHz wifi, security updates also frequent and UI is very responsive only drawback is storage and RAM

I have tried their app on trial and the quality seems fairly good, the buffering is almost non existent as channels play instantly. My only concern is that the total number of channels is way too small but I hope they will keep increasing them.

any1 got billed more than the website price on their 25mbps vdsl connection?
3618rs [on bill] where as price on website is 3445rs

Called 1218,1236...and the guy said ur bill is correct we have new price and we texted everyone 2 months ago. And i told him that i didnt get any sms or email regarding price increase. Then he was ahhh ok okok i will launch a complain so u can get sms next time. Then he told me "ohhhhhh your dsl price is showing 3445rs". I will launch a complain to get someone to call you "TO EXPLAIN you why is this happening". [There was no mention of fixing the bill]

Well that is PTCL... there is no alternative and they dont wanna provide me with smart tv because
1. Its available in my area
2. Its only a privilege for a new connection only
3. The ptcl guy told me apply for 2nd landline connection and u will get your "Smart TV" installed in 1 day xD

I dont even wanna run the memories of what the other 2 CR made me go through XD

Username: Epuser
Password: userEp

Asked a friend to test on PTCL GPON with a Huawei ONT and it didn't work, seems like PTCL changed the defaults or disabled the Epuser account so that users won't have access.

Yeah that doesn't work either (for Nayatel, it only let me log in to the user account, not the admin account).

Hello to all Pg'ers, Eid greetings to you all.
So this is my recent PTCL Scum story happened on this eid:

I have a 100 Mbit Fiber package for over 3 years. My internet was fine up until last day before Eid holiday. I used it without any issue on saturday date 09 July, 2022 until 11 P.M. and it was working fine. The very next day on Sunday which was Eid 1st day, i tried internet at 8 A.M. in the morning and it was not working. My PON light on Modem was stable but i had no Internet access. Since it was Eid first day and i was busy i didn't pay much attention and went on with the day. Then again at 7 P.M. on Sunday 10th July, 2022 i checked to see if internet is working but it wasn't so i thought it may get fixed next day.
Next day on Monday, i.e. 11th July, 2022 i waited around noon but my internet was still down so i finally lodged a complaint at 1218. The internet didn't work that whole day either, so fast forward to today (12th July, 2022) i checked internet again at 10 A.M. to see if my internet is back on but it wasn't. I went on with my daily routine while at around 2:30 P.M. today i got visit from PTCL guys, i invited them in, turned on my modem to see my Internet has been restored. Everything's well right? No, i checked my data Usage and got stunned, the days my internet was off here is my data usage:
July 10, 2022:
Download 166.6 GB Upload: 21.4 GB Total: 188.0 GB
July 11, 2022:
Download: 922.7 GB Upload: 96.4 GB Total: 1019.1 GB
July 12, 2022:
Download: 64.4 GB Upload 5.8 GB Total: 70.2 GB
So in these 2 and half days while my internet was off my Total download is: 1158.7 GB.
Meaning i have been deprived of more then HALF of my Monthly Bandwith WHILE MY INTERNET WAS SHUTDOWN ARTIFICIALY on Eid Holidays.

I have emailed at [email protected] but i doubt i will get reliable answer.
I have been a PTCL defender for a decade but after this fiasco i am now seriosuly thinking of moving to something else. There is always some suspicious looking issue 1 day before or during eid days on PTCL.

The biggest issue with PTCL are their exchange staff.

If these guys weren't in the system, then PTCL would probably be on a different level. Other ISPs can run without exchange staff (they may have hub offices - but not exchanges per se, though correct me if I'm wrong) which is perhaps why there isn't much fat.

Also, try contacting PTCL, get the complaint number about misuse of your line, and if they don't fix it, tell PTA. They may say that you have 2TB so don't whine, but you need to tell them that there is a breach in trust and there's misuse and that you know your rights (but be polite when saying this - you don't want to appear rude nor snarky).

And tell PTA. Give them the full details. Date, time, complaint number, sequence of events, proof.

Yes it was working fine. That's from where i called 1218.
I just went to my local exchange and met with the director in-charge of exchange.
He acknowledged that someone from within ptcl has used my internet and told me it could be anyone, doesn't have to be in the exchange itself but from a different city too. I wasn't sure that was possible. He told me that changing user/pass won't help as the person who did this already has high level access.

I have a habbit of turning off my modem at night when i go to sleep. His solution, DON'T turn off modem because as long as i am connected the other person can't connect. He asked me to give him couple of days so they can trace the guy. He also assured me that my data will be refunded.

TBH, i am more worried about my net being mis-used for some illegal activity or some bad postings on my name because after all my static IP will eventually trace to the owner.

So far i haven't received any answer on email from [email protected]
