    PS3 ban is usually a console+gamertag ban. Since your gamertag is probably useless, i mean you don't have any purchased content on it and you can always make a new one, spoofing console id will be uttermost important for you and won't be risky. Other than console id, maybe you can spoof the mac address, which can also be banned. But regardless, you can always change or spoof console/mac id anytime on PS3 so there is nothing like a permanent ban.

    Yep, online is definitely a whole lot safe if you spoof ur console ID. I'd go on to say that it will make your console practically immune to ban, provided you spoof your original console ID. Sadly, i don't think there is a way to do so, but i might be wrong. But for a user with a banned ID, he need a valid working one.

    As for the CFW version, don't you see the boot-up? It says Rogero or Rebug depending on the firmware. If you have 4.50, you have either Rogero or Habib CFW. I have no idea if Habib also shows his name on boot but his cfw might do the same. Additionally, you can try checking system info from multiman. Maybe it will show you the cfw.

    Yep, load times are faster on the portable HDD.

    And no, they won't require a power adapter at all. Mine works without any power adapter. Dunno why yours started beeping.
    Similarly, my cousin's JB PS3 Slim also worked flawlessly for both of our portable WD hard disks.

    And don't forget to play teh Siren game on PS3. They are pretty good horror games, from what i heard.

    Most of the very old PS3 games still have working torrents on BCG. Even some already converted PS2 ISOs to PS3 or PSP to PS3 are available on BCG. All you have to do is to install the package files for them. I got Haunting Ground, Rule of Roses, Shadow Hearts 1 and 2, Dragon Quest V and Siren converted from BCG.

    You can also play them through external hard disk, of course. The choice is urs.

    I forgot but you have to set up the PS2 Classics software on your PS3 first. It is just a simple process. I have given you the guide, use it to do this. If you are stuck, let me know.

    Basically you have to install two package files on PS3 and then use reactPSN to validate the license of the PS2 Classics, which will then be used by every other PS2 game. Otherwise, you will get a license error whenever you run any PS2 classic.

    I don't get to play my PS3 much these days but the process is pretty damn easy.

    Like i said, get the PS2 GUI tool (Latest ver is 2.0 or something) and it basically does all the work.

    You will need the .iso file only. Althouhg if you want to customize the icons/pics displayed on XMB, you will have to do that yourself otherwise it i will be just displayed as the default PS2 Classics icon :p.
    When you convert the game to PS2 format, you can:
    1. Either convert it to a PS3 games folder format and then copy it manually to internal hdd's "game" folder(Not "games")
    2. You convert it directly to a .pkg file and then simply install the package file.

    As for which games work, i have given you compatibility list, most of them work pretty well :)

    Anyways, I guess you're set. TLOU is the only game that I really wanna play alongwith MGS 4 I guess. I can wait for those so I decided not to buy one. However if P5 remains a PS3 exclusives by the time it's released then i'll have no choice.

    I tried to buy a cheap PS3 this summer around the time TLOU came out but I stopped when I realised how stupid it was to buy a new console for just 1 game lol I might still buy it for P5 later on if stays exclusive but otherwise I just wanna play TLOU and I can ive without it. :p
