You can't manually force VoLTE. Some phones even throw an error when you try adding an IMS type APN because it's not allowed for certain carriers.
It's auto provisioned from the carrier end, provided that the phone is running the latest software.
Broke the physical SIM tray in my phone so thought to get eSIM on my number till I get a new SIM tray.
Apparently existing Jazz prepaid numbers can't be converted to eSIM, I can either switch to postpaid or get an entirely new prepaid number as an eSIM.
Wasn't interested in either of those stupid options so just came home and decided to use my SIM in an old phone for a while.
Jazz doesn't even mention this ridiculous rule anywhere on the eSIM page on their website.

Did you went to their main office or a franchise? Because I don't think there is any such rule for issuing e-sim. If it was a franchise than these guys make this type of lies to increase their sales of new pre paid sims or converting pre paid customer to postpaid. I will suggest you to go to their main office or try calling help line first and confirm about such rule.
It was a franchise. Jazz closed their main office in RWP Saddar and there's only one left in Islamabad now.

Then it's one hundred percent confirmed that the franchise guy was lying to you and forcing you into a new sale. Just call Jazz helpline to confirm if there are any restrictions for eSIM. If there are none, complain about the franchise and visit again. If they persist with their stance, call the helpline again while you're there and ask the helpline representative to guide the franchise personnel for assistance. They will be forced to issue you an eSIM.
Is it Pakistani official PTA approved unit or imported CPID approved?
Visited the franchise again this morning, showed them Twitter screenshots of my conversation with Jazz and told them I called Jazz as well. Both confirmed that prepaid can be converted to eSIM.
Now the franchise staff came up with the excuse that 'hamare paas eSIM nahi hai'.
How can you run out of QR codes???
He said just go to main service centre in Islamabad and do it there. So according to his own logic, prepaid numbers can't be converted but the service center will magically convert it for me?

Visit another franchise in rawalpindi. First inquire the availability of e-sim, than tell them about replacement of old pre paid sim.
Any idea if VoLTE and VoWiFi work with eSIMs?
I heard from some users that they only work with physical SIM and not eSIMs.

Thank you for your valuable suggestions. I am definitely going to have a look at moto g54. A friend also suggested me pixel 4a 5g and I think it supports CA. But if I can find a g54 I think it will be better than pixel and Redmi note 10 pro.
Sadly my area normal zong 4g connection is very bad, I think even CA won't make it any better. I am going to try jazz 4g tomorrow.
