The individual who is posting PS Lifestyle and Eurogamer reviews and is still waiting for Phantom Liberty and Alan Wake 2 to fall below 87 is talking about finding solace in reviews. The irony :ROFLMAO:

But what of the individual who spent $22.49 - $31.49 (and considers himself lucky for doing so) on a game where:

- investigation is merely a vehicle to drive the narrative forward, and there's no real deduction on the player's part
- combat is merely flashing a torch and then finishing enemies off with a laughably limited arsenal of weapons
- the player needs to sit through hours of integrated FMV

Correct me if any of the above is factually incorrect  🤜

So Necrokiller has nothing to say in defense against my 3 points. Makes sense, facts can't be denied 🤷‍♂️

I spent $22.5 for a game rated higher than a $70 game CerebralTiger bought at launch. That's a win of Epic proportions 🤜:ROFLMAO:
Games can be rated higher for being a better overall package, and can still have individual components that are inferior to those of lower rated games. Case in point: investigation in Detroit vs in this game 🤷‍♂️

So far, I prefer Alan's portion of the game over Saga's.

+ Shining light on shadows to reveal potential enemies and the way said enemies move around like they're a glitch in the matrix is nicely done in Alan's section.
+ The lamp mechanic, where you absorb/deposit light to open new paths, works well for exploration in Alan's section.
+ The shooting is a notable improvement over the first game. There's some decent feedback, and enemies are no longer bullet sponges.
- Combat encounters themselves get repetitive fast, with little enemy or weapon variety (so far)
- Narrow spaces don't work well for combat. Case in point: the first boss fight, where the camera can get really awkward at times.
- Excessively harsh smudge filter when low on health.
- Melee feels clunky.
- So many FMVs.

Phil should be held responsible for this shitfest too, just like Sarah, but it's highly likely that these decisions are coming from Satya. And this isn't even the end of it. More closures are coming.

if we are moving towards more and more popular trash across platforms that make billions for companies, I'm happy with all the barriers and exclusivity because at least that brings some pressure to create good stuff.

They could've sold the studios instead of closing them, but the nazi bastards just didn't want competition down the road.

So i just found out that f***ing s***bag Microsoft shut down Arkane Studio (makers of the brilliant Dishonored series) and Tango Gameworks (makers of the iconic The Evil Within series), among some other studios. I just want to say a giant F*** Y**! to Microsoft. THEY'VE F***ED UP BIG TIME this time.

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

MS one upping Sony in catching the biggest L in gaming
tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
