I wish Telenor and Ufone merge into one company. They are struggling with coverage and speed. With their combined spectrum and coverage they can counter these problems.
Combined they can launch 40 MHz 3 way CA 4G+ with 20(band 3) + 10(band 1) + 10 (band 8).
10 MHz DC-HSPA+ on band 5
And 2G on remaining band 3 and 8.
And we will see 3 strong companies competition

I never said its happening. I said I wish it happens

So I transferred my Ufone number to ONIC and it took 2 minutes to finish the transfer. The sim card was active. I am definitely getting better speeds than UFONE for sure.

Currently I am getting 4G+ with 2 carrier aggregation 1800 + 2100 so I asked Zong to give us 1800+900 instead of 1800+2100 for better coverage but the person I was talking to on the call Wasn't aware of this 4G+ thing, so I spoke to the supervisor but he didn't know about it either.

That's... not how aggregation works. The phone picks up all available signals and performs accordingly. What you can do is restrict the phone from receiving specific bands (through rooting, but not sure if Tensor/Exynos supports this).

My friend who lives in Lahore told me that Jazz is giving him 4G+ with 1800+900. now he is using Jazz 4G even in the room where he was able to get only 2G signal.
Zong's indoor coverage is weak on my side too, my mobile network keeps switching from 2G to 4G most of the time.

Thing with radiowaves is that they're tricky. The frequency tells you how well they can penetrate structures. The technology type is different than the frequency (and accordingly, the numeric readings on the phone will be different).

It's possible your friend already had a good 900Mhz and a very weak (but usable) 1800Mhz signal. CA helps boost both weak and strong signals (and that's the benefit). With Zong, if they don't have a frequency broadcasting in your house, then you're out of luck. The switching between 2G and 4G is a byproduct of fluctuating signal strengths (that's just how radiowaves work).

Yes you are right, VoWifi will help me in case of Zong's weak indoor coverage but Zong is not providing VoLTE and VoWifi.

Jazz is providing 3 way CA in Islamabad.

Is it confirmed that Zong is offering 4G on 900 MHz in Islamabad? Because if it is than your cell will automatically connect to 900 MHz band in indoors or at weak coverage areas.

Zong VoLTE is ready since 2019, all they need to to get is NOC from PTA which has some hefty price as per rumours. Jazz and Telenor paid but Zong is not paying for NOC. That's why their VoLTE and VoWiFi is being delayed.

I did same. But now I can not receive sms from any number on my onic converted sim and cannot even register Whatsapp (both by sms or call option). Tried complaining to their customer support and it's useless.

Speed difference between Zong 3 way CA (35 MHz) and Jazz 2 way CA (25 MHz). Both tests were taken at roof early in the morning. At Faisalabad
