It does. Not surprising that they're using dual-stack, but at least they've started rolling out IPv6.

Nayatel (while not a mobile telco), has also started rolling out IPv4+IPv6 (dual-stack) by default now (previously it was only enabled if requested).
I confirm it too. Jazz is definitely using IPv6 in Faisalabad too. I don't know what Zong is doing now? Have they too lost confidence in Pakistani market? No innovation, No advancement, No VoLTE whatsoever. They are on verge of becoming second largest telecom operator yet they behaving like Telenor now.
I remember I had Galaxy A50 in 2019 when I got an update after which Jazz sim started showing VoLTE option and after that Jazz started rolling out VoLTE after a year. In same update Zong sim also started showing VoLTE option in sim settings. That means Zong have support for VoLTE in Galaxy AX0 and later devices. But still they have not make VoLTE operation on their network. That is too disappointed.

Don't ask twitter guys. They don't know anything. They are just bunch of clowns. I told you to call help line and ask them to enable VoLTE. They won't ask anything and activate VoLTE against your sim. Than you can see 8f your device supports it or not.
This.

I was told by a Jazz employee that the Twitter team is outsourced and their capacity is severely limited, so you're better off tweeting the CFO or contacting them via email.

Twitter is probably good for very basic things. That's all.

Jazz is constantly upgrading its network in Pakistan while other networks are sleeping in peace. Zong is only focusing on shitty Gen Z ads. Ufone's 4G coverage is in hit or a miss situation. Even I do not get Ufone 4G signals in my area inside main Faisalabad city. Telenor had RIP long ago.

Good to see this bus indoor coverage here at my place in Wah Cantt is quite poor since the time I got it (3-4 years back), especially the 4G coverage. Zong on other hand gives 4 bars consistently as long as there is no loadshedding.

Yes you can. But for some weird reasons Jazz is not auto enabling VoLTE on Xiaomi devices like Samsung, VIVO, Tecno, Infinix etc. One need to call helpline and ask them to enable VoLTE.

Was it active on both sims when they were in previous device?
No its the first time I thought of volte because of extremely shitty voice quality these days.

Actually I was at a place in Lahore where I was unable to make any calls and I thought what might be the problem because 4G was working very well. Therefore activated by the code and then I was able to make good quality voice call at the same spot

Yep. Sounds like Jazz. But then, we don't get Jazz 4G signals at our house consistently anyway so VoLTE is... inconsistent.

Both companies would benefit from this - spectrum, coverage density, and hopefully better network management.

Shame for Telenor and the people who ruined it years ago.

Edit: a joint venture would have been a good idea. Etisalat seems to know what they're doing, and Telenor could probably benefit from a hands-off approach and stay in the country. Who knows how this will turn out (if it even turns out).

I think its going to be complete acquisition. 1.2 Billion Dollars expected to be for complete acquisition and Telenor wants to exit Pakistani market. Ufone will not only lock heads with Jazz and Zong in head to head competition but in terms of network upgrade as well.
Their merged spectrum will be as under.
1800= 23.8 MHz
2100= 10 MHz
900= 12.4 MHz
850= 10 MHz
Out of this spectrum Ufone can use 20 MHz of 1800 MHz band and 10 MHz each from 2 of remaining 3 bands. Their 40 MHz 3 way CA would be enough to stay ahead in competition.
On top of that they will get already established VoLTE solution to implement on their 4G.

Not sure if any other telco has started yet, but Jazz is using IPv6 now.

I'm in an area where there isn't any PTCL coverage, so we had to set up an external LTE antenna and a Huawei B535 router with a Jazz Data SIM.

Just tested with my phone too. Jazz APN uses IPv4 only by default, but if you enable IPv6, save the APN and toggle flight mode on/off, you'll get IPv6 on your phone as well.

Can you explain me the use of IPV6? When I checked on my ZONG APN, it was already activated.

Is Jazz VoLTE supposed to activate by itself? Also, is there any news about VoWiFi?
I have Techno Camon 19 Neo & I have asked them to turn on VoLTE on the helpline. They said that this device is not supported. I had to tell them that I am using a Techno Camon 17 & they activated the service.. :) I am able to use VoLTE services now.

If rolled out (deployed), the IPv4 shortage will no longer be applicable for... decades. To the end user, it doesn't mean much, except carriers may no longer feel the need to implement CGNAT (since each IP can be a smackton of unique combinations).

That's it.

Also, depending on the networks/ISP, your routing may be better/worse but in a normal scenario, this will have NO effect at all (the only time it could get worse - not better - is if an IPv6-only network in between is choked... or vice versa). But that's how networks work anyway - you already knew that, didn't you? :)

So I have finally VoLTE on my Samsung A53 by calling Jazz Helpline. I was wondering why are they not enabling it automatically on capable headsets as their website says so.

BTW, does VoLTE make any difference in call quality if the person on other end doesn't have it?

True VoLTE experience can be achieved only when both handsets are on VoLTE. You can also make carier video call using VoLTE on other supported handsets. I experienced it from POCO F3 to Samsung A30

    Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

    tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
