Hey, I have about 25-30k to spend on a phone asap. I was eyeing Redmi Note 7 and it seems pretty incredible. However, my friends tell me it's gonna take a while to come to Pakistan. Plus, I hear it's better to wait for the Note 7 Pro instead.
Other option I'm actively considering is the Mi A2 Lite. I hear it's a pretty good phone for the buck but the processor is aging and I'm not a big fan of it's camera and design.

I would totally buy the Mi A2 Lite for now and then sell it to buy the Note 7 Pro, but I hear the re-sale on Xiaomi phones isn't very good. I could buy a Samsung A or J series phone too to sell it later for the Note 7 Pro, but not really sure what would do the least amount of damage in terms of re-sale.

I'm not brand conscious or anything, only reason I'm looking at Xiaomi phones is cause I've looked at reviews online and they offer the best bang for the buck in this price range, and I'm all for it.

RN7 and N7 Pro will both take a while to get here. Mi Pakistan is very slow at releasing new devices.

A2 Lite does use the aging SD625 which is an issue, however if you can increase your budget slightly, or find a slightly used one, you could go for the normal Mi A2. It has an SD660 instead and no ugly notch.

Any idea where I can find a new Mi A2 from as it's out of stock on Mi store, Telemart and some others sites.

Oh alright thanks. Do you know of any other good options around the budget? I'm looking for an OKish camera, and a processor that isn't too old. I don't usually game, just use phones for social media or some light photography. A decent design would be a plus but it's not a deal breaker.

Xiaomi pretty much dominates this budget range.

There is the Nokia 6.1 Plus, which costs more than the A2, and has a lower spec processor.

http://www.advancetelecom.com.pk/product/nokia-6-1-plus/

It's 37k from the official distributor, but you can find it in the local market with the official warranty for slightly cheaper. Probably around 34-35 ish.

You can go for Note 5 Pro, It has 636 Processor, Faster than A2 Lite, Similar in price. However USB 2.0 is a no Go for me because it takes forever to charge mobile (Approximately 2 Hours) if I am not mistaken.

Take note that Prices of A2 Lite, Redmi Note 6, Note 5 Pro will be decreased when Redmi Note 7 Launches. Keeping that in mind i would advise you to buy used Note 5 Pro, You can get it at around 20-21k on Olx & Sell it when Redmi Note 7 Launches.

Anyone looked at the Samsung Galaxy M20? Is it gonna be released in Pak anytime soon?
It is an Indian exclusive series, afaik. Its being manufactured there too.

Edit: The first international launch of the 'made in India' phone so far is planned in Indonesia.

Avoid Mi A2 Lite at all costs. Device has potato front cam + it have lagging problems considering it has a aging 625 with no optimization done by MI side.

I've bought it few months back and sold it after just using it for 2 days. So i'm using my experience with the device.

Go for a Moto G6 which is available with warranty for around 27K brand new. Although on paper it has a weaker processor (SD450) but its well optimized by Motorola and almost has stock android + you can install gcam on it and get much better camera results.

Woah really? All these smartphone reviews on youtube make it seem like there's no better phone in this budget than A2 Lite.

Has anyone looked at the Huawei Y7 Prime 2019? Costs almost the same, and also has a snapdragon 450

Reviewers are paid to do reviews im not xD

A2 lite's nand storage is slow imo hence lagging alot and front cam which is worse than any phone in the same budget.

I would recommend you moto g6 or g6 plus. Currently using g6. And its better than either of the phones you've mentioned.

Y7 prime on paper has the same specs but has a bbloated os hence performance wont be the same as a phone with almost stock android.

I don't really use the front camera at all so that's not a problem for me. As for lag, I asked someone who uses the same phone about his experience and he was pretty satisfied. I don't play PUBG or anything, just FB, IG and Reddit most of the time. Probably going to end up with going for the Mi A2 Lite.

Have been using A2 lite since the day it launched in Pakistan. I don't think you can find a better phone in this price range.
I am absolutely amazed by djkido316 saying that A2 Lite is laggy. This is the first time I have even heard of such a thing.

Redmi Note 5 is in same price range, probably 1500 cheaper than A2 Lite & has better hardware specs (636 processor), dual camera, dslr like blur effects.

A2 Lite also have dual camera and ”DSLR like blur". Plus you get stock Android. A2 lite is on android 9 right now.

Note 5 still beats A2 Lite in processing power, SD636 vs SD625. I have used both sets thats why i am saying Note 5 is better than A2 Lite, Being on Stock Android or MIUI is personal preference, I would choose MIUI over Stock Android because of features it offers.

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.
