Salam,

So im deciding to build a new pc for now i just looked out for a case and cpu and i gotta keep my budget around 60k and thats ofcourse without the gpu.

Case: Thermaltake versa c23 or Coolermaster Masterbox pro rgb (you can recommend others)
Cpu: i5 8400 (you can recommend others)

Now what i still need to look for is motherboard, rams, psu and hdd) and i need to keep my budget as low as possible.

I also wouldnt mind buying used stuff if they are in good condition, i just need your recommendations on what should i get with this much budget.

Well I am just giving a general advice:

Processor: Buy a second hand i5 6th or higher generation.
Motherboard: Buy a new m-ATX board, check the specs and get one under 13k. You may be able to find one which is under 10k and fulfills your needs.
RAM: Buy second hand cheapest RAMs, for gaming should be 2x8GB and else 2x4 GB.
SSD: Buy new cheapest 256GB SSD, any will do.
HDD: Buy new cheapest 2TB, any will do.
PSU: Buy new 750W and should be more than ~10k

i5 8400 literally kills the last gen with this price if you look at the benchmarks.

  • Benchmarks are only comparable, if you are going to build a system comparable to the test system. Keep in mind that the test systems are always kept powerful enough that they don't bottle neck the CPU.
  • Even from benchmarks from respectable unbiased publishers, the difference in gaming performance substantiates as 2-10 FPS difference on a 1080Ti. Which is essentially negligible.
  • The only benefit is in CPU-intensive tasks like CAD tools.

Take me for an example, I am running an i5 6600 with a 1060 and I have yet to experience a game in stock state to not run with max graphics and satisfying performance at 1080p. One thing to maybe note is that my i5 is water cooled, has all power management features turned off in BIOS and with profile set to max performance.

I only got to experience stuttering, visual artifacts and crashing in a heavily modded Fallout 4 (over 32 GB in mods) with a massive custom settlement (over 100 NPCs, stock limit is 20). That also because my 1060 is a 3GB version. So I got an urge to buy the 6GB variant instead which I have since suppressed.

Well i already got the processor and case depending on my need.

What board do you prefer from these 2?
Gigabyte b360 aorus gaming wifi (16800) or asus tuf b360 pro gaming (14500)

If you are gonna spend 16k on a motherboard than i suggest going for z370 chipset. Else B360 motherboards can be found fopr 12k as well. Get that and spend the remaining amount on ram and ssd.

My advice would be if both have the same features then get whichever is cheaper else check if the features that are being provided by the expensive one are the ones that you are gonna use else just go with the cheaper one and save yourself some. my P.S: I have always had good experience with Asus so I can vouch for their quality.

Those 12k ones are very ugly looking and too small for the case i got, same case with z370s in 16k range.. i wanted something good looking and something which also gets the job done, i went for the gigabyte one tho ill be needing the wifi device anyway so thought it would be a right choice still i spent way too much on a board but i think it was worth it.

You are right but i still needed to spend on wifi device anyway, with that in mind, some extra features and looks i went for the gigabyte one.. hopefully it was worth it tho.

    Just downloaded my first legit digital PC game on GoG at a discount of $8: Two Point Hospital. The same team behind Theme Hospital Two Point Studios now part of Sega. And I am having more fun than most recent AAA games except of course BG3.
