Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 4gb/64gb Global Version mini review

The latest stable build release is MIUI Global 8.5 Stable [8.5.4][NCFMIED]. This build has the July 2017 security embedded within.

What you're using is the Global Beta ROM of MIUI 9, which still needs some bugs to be ironed out of it.

Also, the latest 8.5 build comes with the Nougat update baked in. Would recommend waiting for the stable release before opting in.

Somebody also mentioned a port of the Google HDR+ camera for Redmi Note 4, could you please share the link here. Stock photography is fine, but the video camera performance is abysmal at best.

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately, it requires tampering with the OS files, which is something I'm not willing to risk. I've not tampered with phones for a while because I honestly haven't felt the need to since the Nexus 5 days.

So I got Redmi Note 4 4GB/64GB version. I like the phone so far. Can you please confirm if you are able to use BACKUP function in the Google Drive? I am able to but only backup/restore locally. Under Settings for Google Drive > Backup & reset > Google Account > "Backup to Google Drive" is greyed out and says "Disabled by your admin". I am currently on MIUI8 latest stable version and want to try out MIUI9 and a few other Custom ROMs but I need the backup going. I could use the MI account for backup but it I guess won't work for restoring if another custom ROM is installed?

Kinda off topic but.. What's the difference between Redmi Note 4 and 4X? Which one is better for the local networks?

Redmi 4 has a better chip 625 while 4x has 430 so 4 is better.

I saw with Official Warranty in Saddar mobile shops but did not ask for the prices. They'd be more or less the same as that of Daraz. Keep an eye out on Daraz, they have regular discounts on Wednesday's and Sunday's with certain Debit Cards, sometimes Easypaisa or Jazzcash.

EDIT: The phones on daraz don't seem to have the Snapdragon processor. Or do they?

They do, check relevant Xiaomi ones. I ordered Redmi Note 4 from them.

If someone wants to buy xiaomi phones from pindi,isb then go to akhtar plaza in saddar. You can get redmi note 4 in 3k discount from there. Multiple friends of me have gotten the phones from there. Box packed with official warranties. Haggle on the price and you will get it for 18k. Color choices may be limited though.

Aslam o Aalaikum, just bought redmi note 4 64 GB variant in black colour. great phone. purchased from Daraz I m very happy with it. great phone. it is not ugly. it looks very premium. in videos it does not look very good but it is really good looking.

You may ofcourse. Visually you won't find too much different. Try Lineage OS 14.1 if you want Custom ROM. Works excellent.

bro, howz the camera result?

Bought the 3GB/32GB version for 19,700 (+shipping) from Telemart.

Also found one at a local shop for 19,500 (after a bit of bargaining).
