Transformed packages cannot be downgradedThere are 2 types of exchanges offering transform packages. First which have been completely transformed and second which are being transformed.
Completely transform exchanges only offer transform packages on VDSL only. There is no ADSL service their. And there are no conventional packages.
Exchanges which are being transformed, currently providing both conventional and transform packages on whichever medium available there at area, ADSL or VDSL. ADSL only areas can only have up to 20 Mbps because ADSL support maximum 20 Mbps. If relevant cabinet has VDSL card, user can avail up to 100 Mbps transform package.
Easiest way to get VDSL (if available and PTCL guy isn't transferring you to VDSL from ADSL) is to apply for 30 Mbps transform package or request to upgrade. Since ADSL doesn't support beyond 20 Mbps, they have to change medium to VDSL. Once VDSL installed one can downgrade to 20, 10 or 5 Mbps transform package by just calling help line.
