Asslam-o-Alaikum Everyone. I am Arslan From Lahore. 6 months ago, I had bought LG V10 H900 of 23,000 From a PG member (I will not take his name But he was a honest man)..

Yesterday night, I was just checking out on facebook as usual. Suddenly, My phone got stuck on Facebook and it was no use of pressing back button, power button or home button. So I switched it off by long holding the Power Button. Anyhow, after few minutes I restarted it and start using Whatsapp and again it got stuck. I repeated the process and turned it off. After some minutes, I press the Power Button to reboot it. This time My phone got stuck on LG Logo and didn't proceed further. My Phone got stuck on BootLoop. I started to worry about it and repeated the procedure 2-3 times while removing the battery each time. After giving many tries, the time comes that it didn't even show me the LG logo and at that moment it was totally dead. I thought that it would be a battery fault. So I connected it to a charger and checked it after 20-25 minutes. The phone was getting heatup due to charging but it wasn't starting. I googled for the solution and found out that it is common issues in LG phones and have very less chance to get fix.
Today, I had gone to Hafeez Center to get some info from the resellers and mobile repair men. So, Some of the comments given by random people were:

1. Reseller: I try not to buy LG phones from the customers because usually it happens that phone get dead while they are placed on the display.

2. Repair-Man : I will try to repair your phone in 3000. Don't worry these issues are normal in LG phones. LG G2, G3, G4, V10. All these mobiles have these issues. I don't know why LG don't focus on their poor software. (Later I got to know that the guy was fake and don't know anything about repairing phones)

3. Repair-Man : I will fix your phone in 1500 but there will be only 20% chances for your phone to get fixed.

Anyways, I have decided to give it a try to get it fixed. If not, I will sell the parts of LG V10. No one was even willing to buy the parts. It's a great loss of money. I will let you know what's gonna happen next.

Conclusion:

- Never let your LG phone to get much heat up. There are many good softwares available for the maintenance of Battery, cpu temperature, etc. You should use any of the Software like du battery saver. (unluckily i was using it but i had uninstalled it for some reasons :( )
- Never give too much puthay-seeday Pangay. Whatever happens to your phone. Don't reboot it again and again. Search for the problem then do anything.
- It's better not to buy LG phones. Even their software isn't much stable.

Last thing i wanna say is that I don't believe in any of the repair man here. I prefer to sale my damage phone instead of repairing from these thugs. I have a bad experience with these repair men. Once you repair a device, you will surely have to deal to a new problem every month. I only appreciate a honest repair-man. I don't care what price they ask for repairing but they should keep a clean work. up till now, I haven't met any honest repair-man.

I was a fan of LG phones and have use many over the years without a problem. They used to be build like a tank but all the sd808 devices from LG were shit G4, V10, 5X all had bootloop issue.

I feel sorry for your loss bro but you should have been careful as this forum is full of threads related to bootloop issues in G4/V10.

I have owned a G3 for 3 years now and it is still working perfectly. I love LG phones but the bootloop issues are well documented. You should have been more careful.

V10, G4 are the worst phones having bootloop issues. Although Specs wise these phones are amazing.

You're lucky it worked for even 6 months. No doubt about LG phones themselves have killer hardware and cameras, but the risk is too much to take.

That makes absolutely no sense and it's not why your phone got stuck in a bootloop.

Well, I thought it could be the problem here because before It got stuck on bootloop, my LG V10 was been very heatup. Moreover, My LG V10 shows some lagging in videos and games when it was heatup.

LG bootloop has nothing to do with the phone heating up. It's some other hardware issue that plagued most older LG phones.

My own LG G3 recently started restarting, and I fixed the issue by heating the 32 GB Flash IC with a hair dryer. But this phone is not dependable now and restarts a couple of times in a day by itself. I searched for new phones but no one even comes close to G3 in this price range, G4 is good but it has major issues too.

The problem is that the BGA is not soldered properly / firmly to the board. A common occurence in graphic cards of laptops as well due to thermalk cycling. The solution is to reflow the IC. V10 might have this issue, try a hair dryer first. Else it has a common issue with G4 that its 2 cores start getting errors and you have to disable them.

Uhh actually it does. The hardware issue is that LG has been using shoddy soldering. The heating and cooling cycles cause the solder that connects the SOC to the mainboard to crack.

Is this issue persistent in newer LG models such as G5? Because I'm thinking to buy a used one in around 19K, will that be a good buy?

From what I've heard, the V20 and G6 are safe from this issue.
But what about G5? Planning to buy one tomorrow so need to know for sure. I've read many articles and there are no confirmed reports of boot loop issue with G5, although there are mentions of this issue with V20.

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
