How to Verify NADRA CNIC through SMS?

  • Send your CNIC number (with or without dashes) to 8008
  • In return you will get the names of all registered persons in your family.
  • If you’re satisfied with the list, reply the message with 2, but if there is any person registered as your family member you don’t know ─ notify the authority by replying with 1.
  • Family heads, or even if you are not head of a family, can send their NADRA CNIC number to 8008, and in response they will get the names of people with-in their family tree.

Done.. But i think this would need some more secure approach. So we don't have to go at Nadra to verify anymore or this is just complementary stuff?

Attempted many time today. Each time message sending failed. Perhaps NADRA systems not ready. Anyone got verified successfully? ?

Telenor? It's not working for telenor atm. This service is officially starting from 1st July.

Could be a glitch. Try sending the message from a different mobile number.

So far, it's worked for all my relatives and my parents.
On Telenor however, it just says 'Failed' as soon as I try to send the message.

Got the same error, I thought I was the only one. No idea what CNIC verification has to do with cell number. Which network are you using to send the message?

i was indeed using telenor.

i heard this msg is free. but i couldn't send it from my creditless zong
