maybe im used to it but i never felt acceleration in Ghosts or Advanced Warfare (you seem to be having an issue with both) have you tried editing the cfg?
Only multiplayer cfg can be edited for that method to work. Single player remains unaffected with that fix.

The issue In this game is not as bad as it was in ghosts. But it's making me mad.

No such issues here. I did face mouse lag with ghosts.
Thanks. Watch mouse are you guys using?

[h=2]Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare blocks PS4's Share Play feature (update)[/h]

The PlayStation 4's new Share Play feature is blocked in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Polygon can confirm.

Following a report from GameSpot, we attempted to use Share Play in Sledgehammer Games' new shooter, which launched earlier this week. We were unable to share any part of Advanced Warfare with another PS4 user. The host was able to play just fine, but the guest only saw the message in the screenshot above: "The host's game screen is not displayed because the current scene is a blocked scene for Share Play. Wait until the blocked scene is finished." That was for gameplay in the campaign, not a cutscene.

Game publishers and developers already have the ability to restrict the PS4's Share button functionality or block it altogether. For example, video shared from NBA 2K14 includes no sound, reportedly because the game uses licensed music, and screenshots from Child of Light bear a Ubisoft watermark. Sharing can be disabled for cutscenes that a developer considers to contain spoilers.

Sony added Share Play to the PS4 in system software update 2.0, which the company released last week. The feature allows players to invite a PlayStation Network friend into their game via streaming technology — regardless of whether that friend owns the title in question — either to take over the controls and play for them, or to play alongside them as a co-op partner over the internet. Share Play sessions are restricted to 60 minutes in length, but there's no limit on the number of sessions.

PS4 firmware 2.0 has caused a number of problems with the console as well as certain games; Sony released a follow-up this week, version 2.01, in an attempt to fix the issues. Since Share Play arrived less than a week before the launch of Advanced Warfare, it's possible that Sledgehammer didn't have enough time to implement the feature in the game, and chose to block it rather than hastily add support for it. Sony showed off Share Play during E3 with a different shooter, Ubisoft's Far Cry 4. The PS4 version of Minecraft reportedly disables Share Play.

A Sony representative confirmed to Polygon today that "Share Play is a [system-level] feature enabled by System Software Update 2.00, making it available for all PS4 titles; however the option is available to developers to disable the feature according to what they feel will best benefit the consumer experience."

We've asked Advanced Warfare publisher Activision for comment, and will update this article with any information we receive.

Update: An Activision representative provided the following statement to Polygon:

"Delivering a great gaming experience for fans is our top priority. We're focused on launching Advanced Warfare and ensuring that people have a great time playing it, which our fans seem to be. Share Play is a new feature that was introduced as part of the recent PS4 firmware 2.00 update. Our engineers didn't have access to it before it launched, so we haven't had a chance to evaluate it to see how it will impact the experience across all modes of play. Of course we wouldn't include a feature in our game without having the chance to test it. Once we've fully analyzed its performance, we'll determine how to support it going forward."

-- MY GAMEPLAY HAS BEGUN --

Okay so after all the mouse problems, i could not wait further, and i started my Single Player walkthrough yesterday. Since then i have been playing it mission by mission, and the following this have dazzled me:
  • + The cinematics look so bloody brilliant. I can only imagine how they might have rendered them (but then given the game's size, its really not that much of a surprise -- oh wait, i just remembered Wolfenstein: The New Order's cinematics ... given that, this one really is a much bigger surprise for me)
  • + Filmic AA is literally the most amazing thing i have ever seen. I am pretty sure similar tech is used in RYSE: Son of Rome as well, but this looks far better.
  • + The technology shown is fabulous. Mute Charge ... wtf? :S
  • + The slight changes to the gameplay mechanics really make the game much tougher than it has ever been. This is a new and improved COD, and it will make you pull out your hair in multiplayer. I mean, smart grenades, maneuvering, exo-suit abilities ... doing all that while in the combat, thats tough work.

Right now, i am trying to save a Reactor from Blowing out. This Hades dude wants to liberate the world from technology. (Deep down, i kinda agree with his stance though. Too much tech = always fighting for domination (worst case scenario). And that definitely makes me a terrorist :ninja:)

Installed and played for an hour, must say i'm impressed, graphics and sounds are so realistic that you feel you're in a real battlefield if you've got a good surround sound system.

I have just captured the Doctor, the No.2 of Hades.

The game is going pretty strong. There are some jaw dropping moments, and some are purely bad ass. The handful of moments Kevin Spacey gets, he wins your heart.
+ That nuclear meltdown was like a mini nuke. Reminded me of all the previous games, especially the iconic large scale blast of COD4. (That also made me silently wish for an AC130 gunship action -_- )
+ The entry of those 'classified soldiers' ... Jaw.Dropped. What a great timing, and entry. Again, the technology shown is so awesome that it doesn't make you feel that its a game.
+ Don't forget that 'Rambo' moment when we return to the Atlas Base with the Doctor, and that big Exo-Suit soldier destroys that helicopter. (Again, notice the FilmicAA with the effects ... thats simply orgasmic)

Will post more.

I played the first two missions on PS4 at Veteran difficulty and I must say that I haven't enjoyed a COD game like that in a long time. The game is great.

I still have to test out the MP but so far, it looks amazing on PS4 and play great. The game is equal to a maxed out PC version on PS4 and runs at 1080p and 60 fps too. Although there are a few dips here and there but nothing that severe.

[h=2]Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare dev working on bug fixes, network improvements[/h]

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare's launch hasn't been free of problems, and developer Sledgehammer Games said in a blog post today that it's "working hard on improvements to the game."

An upcoming update will fix a number of bugs, smooth off some rough edges and implement player-suggested changes:

  • Prestige reset issues, including emblems and challenges.
  • Adjustment to the in-game chat names notifications placement.
  • Fix for weapon reloads counting as speed reloads in certain circumstances.
  • Connectivity optimizations.
  • Fix for stats accumulating towards leaderboards after prestiging.
  • Adjustment to challenges to unlock Camos for weapons.
  • Fix for round-based game modes, affecting Win/Loss ratios.
  • Implemented ability to unlock eSports Rule options in Private Match.

"Our team has been working hard on improvements to the game. We've also had our ears to the ground, listening to your feedback. Our commitment to continuing to support the game and community is as strong as ever, and we have the whole team focused on making the experience the best it can be," said Michael Condrey, studio head and co-founder of Sledgehammer Games.

Some players have also been complaining of connectivity issues, and in response to an outcry for dedicated servers, Condrey passed along a statement that Advanced Warfare publisher Activision released earlier this week: "Advanced Warfare employs game servers hosted at data centers globally on all platforms and listen servers as part of our proprietary matchmaking system."

That appears to denote a mix of dedicated (data center-hosted) servers and client-based listen servers.

suuureee...whatever helps you sleep at night :p
You do realize I played it maxed out on PC first and then bought PS4 version because of the MP? :)

Anyways, here is the tech analysis straight from Digital Foundry. Still think I said that to make myself feel better? :p

However, the PS4 and Xbox One each share the highest quality textures, effects and geometry of the maxed-out PC version. They only fall noticeably short in three areas; the low-grade anisotropic filtering on textures, less accurate specular mapping for reflections, and opting for SSAO, rather than the PC's subtler HBAO+ shading around objects. Otherwise, you get the full deal, complete with subsurface scattering.

Do you even read what you quote?

I don't want to start another nonsense here. But the lack of AF has sadly been common in almost majority of the multiplatform games this generation. Probably a bug in the SDK of both platforms. SSAO is there, just not of the highest quality. Do you play the game or do you check out how realistic the shadows are?

If these tiny nitpicks make you happy, good for you. I am done with these kind of debates. :wink2:

Let me quote the important bit for you, since you're an AMD user.

However, using an AMD card appears to incur an additional CPU load you simply don't get when gaming with an Nvidia equivalent.
What's that? Is it your Radeon HD 7970 crying? lol

Also, performance on AMD cards takes a bigger hit when HBAO+ is enabled. It's an Nvidia feature, after all.

Take a look back at what started the debate, and you weren't even involved but jumped in.

But hey man, if you take pride in knowing there is always some deficiency in the console version, good on you.

Too bad that I am enjoying the PS4 version so I don't really care.

People fighting over graphics every thread i go, Does it Really matter? Dont you guys remember the Old days when we used to debate over Story and gameplay, when gaming was about how much fun you had while playing a particular game? I still

play PS2 era games despite having consoles and a High End PC but not because of graphics

I have not played the game yet, but I dont think a COD game is going to tax anybodys PC lol

Its the boxes that have trouble holding res and frames huehue

huehuehue (evil) well in all honesty, since i havent really played the PS4 version so i couldnt be really sure... ok even if the difference is minor it is still there. But frankly im happy to hear that consoles are coming to the same visual level as PC since im more interested in playing a game than measuring the 100 pixel difference
