Imported vs locallay assembled LED TV's in Pakistan

I'm looking to buy a LED in mid-top level price range.

I have narrowed down my research to a few models but the problem is that all the research is based on the Internet and like everything else, all the scum of the earth gets sent to Pakistan as it is happily welcomed here. So I have a question:

It seems like both LG & Samsung are coming in two varieties:
1 - Under Official Company warranty ( Ruba Pakistan for LG & Orient Pakistan for Samsung). These are being "assembled" in Lahore( not manufactured, just assembled).
2 - Without any warranty, imported/smuggled/stolen/whatever from outside Pakistan ( Samsung from Malaysia & LG from Korea).

Now obviously, it seems like a good idea to go for the one with warranty but my concern is that since it is assembled in Pakistan is there a possiblity that the end result is not EXACTLY the same as the ones coming assembled in Malaysia/Korea. I under stand that it is all being done officially under license from the respective companies but just look at Toyota Indus vs JDM toyotas. Swift PKDM vs Swift JDM.

SO does anyone have any hands on experience with a side by side comparison of the two types, in terms of PQ : Locally assembled with official warranty VS Assembled in malaysia/Korea without any official warranty? I'm talking Flashlighting, Clouding, Motion Judder, Black Uniformity etc.

First of all, try to be a little more respectful. A lot of these things are going on in many many countries in the world including 1st world countries.

Secondly, if you buy it under Official warranty, no matter where it is assembled the company WILL honor its warranty. On the other hand those imported ones may turn out to be defective and you will pay for any repairs from your own pocket. I have experienced it myself, I bought a Samsung T22B300 as a monitor and it turned out that the board inside it was faulty from the beginning. I went to official Samsung warranty claiming shop and they charged 2500 for the repair.
A Sony one would be more expensive but under official warranty and proper shipping and handling so it would have been better. These companies have a reputation to think of and won't knowingly sell bad products in their own name.

And Ruba and Orient are NOT Samsung and LG. They are separate brands on their own who buy or used to buy their panels from the same manufacturers as Samsung and LG.
Think about it, if these companies want to have official presence in any country, why would they sell their official products under an unknown brand name instead of their own world famous brands?

In short, just buy any LED from any famous brand in warranty and from a well known dealer, preferably their official distributor. If they care about their reputation, then you will get a good product.

First, quit the drama please. I stated a fact and accepting facts is unfortunately the first step one must take in order for things to change!

Second, you did anything but answer my question. I'll rephrase: " Is there any difference in picture quality in a locally assembled led tv and one imported from a foreigh country?"

And where did I say LG is Ruba? or Samsung is Orient? They're both authorised distributors with sales & services rights. Correct me if I'm wrong?And about honouring the reputation, did you even read my post completely? Don't you agree that Pakistani assembled Toyotas are far inferior to japan assembled Toyotas?

Here's another fact for you man... Pakistani consumers are relatively new to Home Entertainment and since demand drives supply, the manufacturers/assemblers here do not feel the need to ensure that 100% quality. It all makes sense but it also means that an enthusiast will have a hard time finding the results he's looking for, which was my whole notion.

I hope my questions is much more clearer now.

Yes but car manufacturers are protected from imports. They don't face the same level of competition that electronics manufacturers do so they can get away with lower quality stuff while the electronics assemblers can't.

If you feel that all Pakistan made products are inferior then that's a bias that you have. It may or may not translate into actual facts on the ground.

As for your question the car analogy does not work here because cars are manufactured under transfer of technology and a deletion program. They start off by importing 100% of the parts and gradually bringing technology to the country to manufacture parts. I highly doubt pakistan has the technology to manufacture panels in-country. The lcd panel will be imported from wherever lg/samsung etc manufacture their lcds (most likely china) . there should not be any difference in the end picture result. But to be on the safe side you can visit electronics shops who stock both lcds and look at them in person and then judge the quality.
P.S The community is much more than this if you act like a part of this community and not like the community's sole purpose is to serve you.

i ve done a research on locally available LED TVs . from what i ve heard , the ones with warrenty or assembled locally in pakistan are inferior to those that r without warrenty . the local sellers here in rawalpindi (Raja Bazaar ) ve 3 qualities , 1) chinese ... crap ... 2) malaysian but still not the original ones , they are better than the chinese and some sell them with warrenty... 3) the original Samsung or Sony or LG LEDs without warrenty (Made in Malaysia)...
i say go for without warrenty original LEDs as they r better in quality , less in price...
Sony 60R550 a from sony official vendor costs 2,37000 as compared to 2,00,000 sold locally without warrenty
Samsung 55 F6400 official vendor price is 2,30,000 as compared to 1,75,000 sold locally...

Its always better to do ur own research , and decide for urself..

I was exactly of the same view about locally assembled vs imported. Glad that you have verified. Now I'm gonna try to find a supplier who agrees to let me have atleast some kind of warranty on a malaysian no-warranty one.. So I can minimize the risk.

Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like.
