Holy Shit, I just found my cringeworthy post. Guess I had barely scratched the surface back then.

Anyway, a lot has changed from back then. Current top-tier classics from my list:

Man, so friggin' glad you discovered The Smiths! My new favorite. The lyrics, the music. Cemetery Gates is about the most perfect example of power pop ever. Also, just saw Dummy; you've done me proud! Also, recently fell madly in love with the last half of OK Computer. Lucky; what a track!

Anyway, man, this list brought back memories. And yeah, my list of favorite albums has changed a bit in the past, I don't know, 2-3 years since I posted that.

But first, Benighted? You can't choose both of GNR's YUIs; it's either 1 or 2. I've always loved 2 way better than one.

Anyway, and this list is certain to change because it's 3:12am right now and I got a lot of work in the morning, but here's my current list:

5)- Husker Du - New Day Rising
4)- Queens Of The Stone Age - Rated R
3)- Joni Mitchell - Court And Spark
2)- Tool - AEnima
1)- NMH - Aeroplane Over The Sea

See, these albums have mostly always been in my car ever since I heard them for the first time, which goes back to like '99 for Husker Du and Tool.

I propose we extend the list to 10 and forget the honorable mentions.

6)- Fugazi - Repeater + 3 Songs
7)- Slint - Spiderland
8)- Buena Vista Social Club (does this qualify?)
9)- Cibo Matto - Viva! La Woman
10)-The Allman Brothers Band - At Filmore East

Man, I'm surely making the list again! There's just so much good music I heard recently. Some of it I'm not putting in the top 5/10 yet as I've just discovered it. Stuff like:

Pavement; the most underrated band of the 90's

Boris; exactly the kind of heavy, downtuned, drone/blues/metal/rock guitar playing I always thought I'd do

The Smiths; I've got the 2 disc best of, love every song on it, but haven't heard the albums so can't really add it to the list

The list goes on!

I like 2 better than 1 as well, but 1 has Double Talkin' Jive, Coma and November Rain.
