Since 2005, when the first conference was held, SMAMUN has been a trendsetter, inculcating in our youth the art of democracy and helping to educate them in the world of politics, foreign affairs and parliamentary procedures that govern the United Nations Organization.With that end, I hope you enjoy the conference to the fullest and take back something with you, that shall be of use to you for the entirety of your lifetime.

It is I, the man that shall provide you relief, sustenance and freedom from the grinding ordeal of the committees after (and sometimes during) the sessions; the man that shall be your enlightening Buddha in your quest of escaping world politics and entering your soul in the tranquility of closed doors with 40 2nd generation core i3s at your service and the world of network gaming at your feet. Indeed, it is I, your messiah, Muhammad Ali Raza ready to save you from all evil and help your soul reach Nirvana.So you’ve probably got the message by now, right? Blessing this years’ SMAMUN will be I, with my computer lab and never ending gaming reserve; I ensure that you endure the grueling sessions of debate and maintain your calm when that hot chic you saw at global village is really an evil monster adamant at winning the best delegate award this time around.Oh and that's not all folks! When you have me as your host, the fun simply never ends! If you're not the PC gamer type, fikar not, for you shall have the XBox at your service as well as a chance to showcase your skill to the hotties with our futsal fiesta, and not to mention the amazingly opulent delegate's lounge. Welcome, one and all, to this year's Saint Mary's Model United Nations! Promising to be another masterpiece by the incredibly talented and brilliant students of SMA, it's an event you would not want to miss. So come on down to our beautifully scenic campus for the debating event of the year!Hard though it is to outdo last year's amazing SMAMUN, our Host Team this time, lead by our ever charismatic Executive Council, shall put their blood, sweat and tears into making sure SMAMUN '12 is never forgotten. We will take the spectacularly amazing event that is SMAMUN and raise the level of extreme awesomeness to really give you all the time of your lives.The SMAMUN society brings you the second ever Model United Nations in Pakistan and the first to be held at school level. Created back in 2004 as a non-profit student run organization, and recognized by the United Nations as an official MUN with the first conference being held in 2005, the event has grown gloriously through the years, becoming better, bigger and grander. Having successfully cemented its place amongst the biggest MUN events in Pakistan, it aims to inculcate the ways of diplomacy and foreign politics in its participants, and also attempts to make them socially responsive.Attempting to take debating to the next level in the 10 committees, this year's SMAMUN will be simulating as our sedulous endeavors will ensure you do not leave disappointed. The delegates representing their respective countries, will not only be expected to debate the political stance their country maintains on some of the most pressing issues faced by the modern world, but will also be required to follow proper etiquette and procedure of a respectable Model United Nations conference.And if you thought an MUN was all work and no play, prepare to be blown away by the partying side of SMAMUN! Kicking things off with our version of the Global Village, the Global Talent Show will have the delegates show us what they've got, be it amazing cosplay, glamorous cat walks, or belting out songs on stage even if you're rhythmically challenged. Combine that with a kickass concert where all the head banging and singing along will get you pumped up to the max, a sensational themed dinner with the atmosphere to put you in the right mood and all the food you can gorge down and a mystery event to keep you in anticipation, we have four nights of pure, unadulterated entertainment for you to party off the pressure and heat from the intense debating sessions during the day. Together with the events, we have full arrangements to keep you engaged in the breaks in the form of extreme gaming, movies, futsal and a variety of food stalls.We hope to see you all alongside us to make SMAMUN'12 the best MUN experience the youth of our generation has yet to witness!Catch you in the summersHost Team SMAMUN '12
