need help urgent bricked liteon 83850c v1 please help

Hello guys,

I have bricked my liteon 82850c v1 accidently I was using my xbox to power the drive now I can't recover it. I don't have ck3 and when I connect it with xbox it starts ejecting it keeps blinking so my pc won't even boot.


Any one know any solution I can recover my drive using xbox power or any other way to power my drive so I can erase the firmware.

Please help me out.

Have you erased your drive? if not, then just try the Outro button on jungle-flasher... Why would you try this without even having a power dongle beats me though.

Solved.. Thread Creator seems to have sent a lite-on erase to the drive and panicked. A drive with no firmware will not be recognized by the xbox :D Its a simple matter of flashing then 'outro'ing the drive.. Lite-on drives CAN NOT be bricked :)

thats exactly what happened when I pressed erase button an error came up I don't remember what it was then drive stopped responding. Now when I power it with my xbox 360 it's power light keeps blinking and when I turn on my pc it does not boot up. So I disconnected the power booted the pc and powered the drive with half tray open sent erase command again when dots appeared disconnected and reconnected again but again again it's not going in vendor mode.

I guess now you get the clear picture what happened. Thanks again for the reply. I really really appreciate it.

Provided you have dumped the Dummy.bin, you should not have any trouble at all getting the drive to work. But do try to get a power dongle atleast. btw, to erase, you DO NOT need to do the half tray method..... It will still work if drive is closed :)

You dont need it now. You already dumped the FW. :) but if you have done one thing wrong, you would have got a very expensive DVD player not an Xbox. Now chill. :D
A power dongle is an alternative to a CK3 btw.
Just relax. You haven't done anything wrong but have panicked hell quick :)

.......... you DONT need it. Didn't I write it down? when you can fix it without such, why get a whole kit for 1 xbox?

Thanks every one my problem is solved.

What I did was first I connected the AV cable with TV and then booted my system with simple DVD-Rom then when windows loaded I simply changed the sata cable with my bricked drive.

Then hit erase I and did the power cycle.

Thank again every one.
