wimax and gaming

hello,
i wanted to know whats this all about wimax not being able to support gaming? i mean if im gonna get a broadband then i shud be able to xbox live u know! i read something about latency being too high, much appreciated if someone can explain it here thanks!

i live in a hostel just outside of defense pindi, and i was opting for wateen wimax till i found out that the wimax thingy aint good for gaming so now im back into the tough spot of having to conjure up a phone line, anyone know how long does it take to get a land line?

latency is very high, doesnt go below 100 in pakistani cs servers but ive played on xbox live with it, the lag is bearable.

the thing is i dont have a land line in this hostel and its the hardest thing in the world to do to get a landline here thats why im going for wimax and even supposed my hostel is very close to the wimax antennae, i would still have lag issues? even in a one mb connection?

i tried cs on quetta servers using wimax
latency ranged from 300-400
it was play able though

sad...... tried talking to the ptcl peoiple at the sadr exchange, they say that the morgah exchange doesnt have any spare lines for the distant future
