PTCL user name and pass issue

Hey guys.I am using ptcl dsl.I have made a connection of my dsl but now when i try to connect i get the following errors...
1.eror 691"User name/or pass is invalid on the domain please try again"

2."Remore computer didn't complete your request as the port which is used to access this connection is closed."

Now i called the 18 and a lady told me that my user name and password are stolen:rip:.She said she will forward my complain to her superiors and took my cell number and said that i will be informed tomorrow.Now you guys tell me what is the issue?Can i fix that thing by myself??

yes recently PTCL has disabled the multi-login feature, so now many users are having problems due to that! if some one start to use your login info (which is very easy to guess, all someone need is the phone number and the password for nearly all the users is "ptcl") then you can't login and use your service.

It's quite a bull crap, they should provide the bloody password changing feature <_<

Means that after downloading i have to reset my modem and i can't just disconnect the connection and connect it again.??This is bullshit .Now what should i do imean is there any alternatives??

i got the same problem just a few days ago ....but i dont do that dial up connection type thingy ..its always connected

Yar it is always connected through your LAN but now after downloading one file from rapidshare or megaupload i have to restart my modem .Connection has the advantage of disconnecting and then connecting back in no time.

lol no, just contact their support! sometimes a modem restart also solve the issue (power off then power on the modem again)

I did that but nothing happens .Anyway i am thanking GOD that still my DSL is working and yeah i will call them tomorrow as i got the number of the person who installed DSL at my end.

What the hell you mean your DSL still working? then why you said that you are having the login problem? :S if it's working fine then what's your point?

Look DSl works with LAN.My dsl is working but i also made a connection as we used to do for dial up but this time when making connection i selected "connect to broadband" so i get a connection.Now i also can connect through this connection too.I am talking about this connection......

He is right cuz i have tested it.

It is working now .Though sometimes it gives me error but it is working now.
