Salam to all PG members hope everyone and their families are safe from COVID-19 and I humbly request everyone to follow the rules and restrictions imposed by the government as well as take every necessary precaution to prevent from catching this virus practice social distancing keep in touch online offer as many prayers as possible.

Here’s the second unboxing and for this we have Oris Big Crown Bronze 80th anniversary special edition. I bought this watch last year never got the time to show it here been busy and all.

This is the second chapter of the unboxing first was the G-shock 2100 stealth edition just one more left to unbox.

Oris:

It’s quite a respectable swiss brand and people love them for their design and value they bring to the customer. They were formed in 1904 and are still an independent swiss watch maker they launched their first big grown around 80 years ago with a pointer date complication

Packaging:

Comes with a standard Oris Grey box with instruction manual, cleaning cloth and the warranty card. It came nicely packed with a soft cloth covering the watch so that its not exposed to oxygen hence stop from fading and changing you get to experience all that first hand.

Design:

It’s a pilot’s watch by design so it has a big crown which is easy to grip while wearing gloves a and with their 80th anniversary they have introduced a bronze version of the watch with 40mm case size and has an amazing green dial, sapphire crystal, automatic movement with display case back its nothing fancy but still.

The watch has already formed a patina over time which is only going to get better with time I think everyone needs at least one bronze watch in a collection the watch that started for me was the Tudor Black-bay Bronze edition but that’s not the Tudor I would likely buy though.

Straps:

It comes with a very beautiful brown leather strap with a signed bronze buckle with an easy lever changing mechanism which has made it a breeze to change straps.

I have bought some custom made leather straps for this watch and I must say it’s a strap monster like no other.

Wrist shots:

Lume shot:

I really love the lume on this watch the cathedral handa have slightly more lume for enhanced legibility than the dial and numnerals

The official link to the watch’s website:

What do you think the last watch of this 3 series unboxing would be?

Very nice, this also comes in blue dial I guess. Last year I bought a big crown pointer date (the older model) from here, it was a fitted watch had original parts but ofc they are interchanged and sometimes refurbished:

Thanks and yeah it has a version with ss case and blue dial on a leather strap but for me the bronze case was the winner as it adds a unique piece to the collection and I think I saw your watch in one of my other unboxings if I remember correct you bought two of them one for yourself and your cousin? What's the experience of the fitted watch still runs as expected?

Yes exactly that's the one. Both of them work flawlessly, everything is working as it should the date, time and winding. I think they are worth it but obviously there is this thing that you never are sure about the originality of the watch itself. For example if we talk about the glass, which is supposed to be sapphire in this case has very few micro scratches which I suppose should not be there since the body is scratch less with 0 scratches but when I do the water drop test on the glass, it does what a sapphire glass should. So these are the things you remain doubtful about but otherwise my experience was 10/10, also bought some other fitted watches too which are working at 100% and are absolute scratch less including Hamilton Khaki and Jazzmaster. Out of 5 watches one had an issue where it switched the date at wrong times, we returned it and apparently it had a weak ETA 2824 machine. Also, I once took one of the jazzmaster viewmatic to a watch shop for checking and told him nothing about it being fitted and when he returned I asked him that if he finds it to be original and he replied that it is original but was missing gasket (crown one) so at that point it was not waterproof anymore implying that it was reassembled, but original.

Would love to know how you acquired it here in Pakistan. I have caught the watch bug a few weeks back have been following this Oris line since a while now.

Back in the day we could buy brand new consoles which could run pirated games out of the box. My Ps1, Ps2 and Xbox 360 did. So they weren't really sealed in box were they?

Is it as good as RDR2 in terms of story, some guy I was talking to was even saying that it's better, for me so far nothing beats RDR2, haven't played this one yet
Nah man. RDR2 is in a league of it's own. That game is special. Brilliant storyline & characters. Ghost of Tsushima is also a good game, but it's story isn't all that great IMO. It's gameplay, sidequest & combat are really good though.

Finally finished Ghost of Tsushima today (with DLC). It's a pretty good game. It plays like an older Assassin's Creed game but with it's own setting & visuals. The combat is fun. Storyline is decent. Sidequests are interesting. Visuals are pleasant. Overall an enjoyable game. Good to know they're making a sequel.
