Mass Effect Release Date Leaked?
BioWare sci-fi hotness possibly hitting stores May 18th.

As we all know by now, BioWare's Mass Effect is one of the front runners for "most coveted title of 2007." While we already knew the sci-fi RPG epic would be launching "sometime soon" in 2007, an official release date of 05/18/2007 may have just been inadvertently leaked over Xbox.com. Oh snap! Joystiq apparently spotted the date in question during a scan of Mass Effect's preview profile at the Australian arm of Xbox.com. Since the website represents an official arm of the Microsoft Corporation it's probably a good bet that there's a bit truth to the figure -- though no confirmation from MS...yet.
Whether May 18th is a date for celebration for Aussies alone, or for the rest of us is also unknown. Stay tuned, sportsfans.
