Hi,
I bought a new fan with UV lights for the cabinet (Later, I will post a picture of it in the review section ) ,now I'm confused how Should I connect it .,since it has one 3 pin and one 4 pin (to connect it directly to SMPS ).I know that if I connect it via Mother Board ,then its fan speed will be automatically controlled ,but If I connect it via SMPS ,then it will run at full speed. The problem is when I connect it via MB ,then its UV lights starts to Blink Too much .

What shall do now ?

I'm asking you because few days back I connected my old cabinet fan which had the following specification 12V DC and 0.27A,which stopped working after sometime .
and this new Glacialtech(GT 12025MSDL) fan has the following specification 12v and 0.31A

Also ,One which came with the cabinet has the following specification
12volt and 0.16A

Thanks in advance .

Which motherboard you got? it's weird..may be you previous fan had some problem..cause it's upto you..if you want to use it as SMPS fan then connect it with the PSU directly..the UV lights blinking because it's a SMPS fan which is made to run at full speed..if you connect it with the MB 3 pin then the speed gets increase/decrease and off course that will make the UV lights blink too...

Thanks,

I have got this Motherboard ->http://www.intel.com/products/motherboard/DG965RY/index.htm
DG965RY

Yeah ,But the fan makes soo much of noise when connected directly (I was expecting that ),but I think it will definately keep my things cool .

Also can you suggest me some fan controllers .

off topic:
I just want to get rid of this MB .It doesn't allow me to overclock my CPU etc .I was thinking of getting ASUS or MSI or Should I wait before Intel lauches new Motherboards .

It's making noice? :\ I have my rear fan directly attach with the PSU power connecter and it don't make noise..anyway..Intel stock don't allow over clocking and they will not add any such option in the future (as far as I know) if you want a high performance board then switch to ASUS (Striker Extreme or P5N SLI) or MSI..

Thanks,

your problem looks weird maybe your fan is like that... P6n is a nice choice if only u r doing SLI.... otherwise get P35..... if u r going SLI i recommended Gigabyte 650i or XFX 680iLT nothing else
