Xbox come in 4 types now.
9504 is currently hackable.
0225 will become hackable by a week (Xecuter's words).
0500 will not be hackable for 2 or 3 months more.
You can check which Xbox you are going to buy by looking at the box of the Xbox and there is a sticker there which shows the LOT and Serial Numbers. You may check my thread for info on how to check which drive an Xbox has by looking at the LOT and Serial Numbers.

This won't work unless your console is modded with the older firmware from C4eva.

Its better. Glossy is a fingerprint magnet, matte one isn't.
You'll have to clean up the fingerprints everytime you eject the DVD ROM, thats the problem in glossy.
