    Doesn't the Wii U already have support from most third party devs? Mass effect 3, Arkham City, DarkSiders II?

    Of course what Nintendo fans really want is Mario and Zelda.right? :p

    So the "Killer App" is a game? I've been hearing so much that "The Wii U lacks a killer app" I've been wondering what people are expecting, they should know by now all they're gonna get is Zelda and Mario, maybe Donkey Kong? who know maybe Versus might make it's way to the Wii u as well.What you should be looking forward to is Monolith's next RPG. ;)

    Their IP their choice.My money My choice wether I but it or not (Let's assume for a second that I'm not a major pirating a hole :p).If people get tired of an Ip they'll stop buying it, and devs will get the message, but the way COD is going these days I fear gamers have lost the ability to resist bullshit like that.Oh well.

    My point is that when the formula was the same the IP flourished, once they began to change it it came into a decline.The only reason FF survived with such acclaim all those years was because the fundamental formula was never changed and although some new stuff was introduced the core design of the games remained identical.

    If Kojima starts something new he faces similar risks, If nintendo comes up with a new IP there's a huge risk that it will fail so why risk it? Let's just go with the IP that has 25 years worth of momentum behind it.This leads to franchises being milked, and yes Zelda and FF are being milked.But that's what cows are for right? :p

    And accussing developers of trying to make money is like accussing a Bee for trying to make honey, I mean that this was their main intention, the goal of any bussiness is to profitable and to do that each cow must be milked for all it's worth.That's just how it it.

    XIII-2 is a sequel so I didn't count it in the main series.Ofcourse Devs are always going to be cautious about starting new IPs.

    So simply adding a new storyline makes it fresh?OK let's see now, FF I-IX all used a same ATB battle system albeit with slight variations, some had three party members some allowed upto 5, they all had different leveling systems I knpow but the basic formula was almost exactly the same, there was the ATB battles, an overhead world map, towns and shops and airships.Now forward over to FFX where Square changed the formula, made eveything very linear but FF X xomehow managed to come out relatively unscathed even though alot of purist FF fans crticised it from moving away from the general formula.Then we had XII that changed everything and was crticised by fans of the series and then there's XIII which was again criticised to hell and back.

    Which means that the Zelda cow has been around and has been milked for 12 years more than MGS :p

    And Each and every commercial game evr made was made with the intent of earning loads of cash, If Kojima is prolonging the MGS series to make more money then there's nothing wrong with that since every developer is doing the same thing, that's what the whole industry is about.

    Yes Zelda is milked and so Is FF, I've never once denied that FF was being milked, infact I consider it to be rite up there with franchises like COD and HALO and even AC to some extent but it's not quite as bad as Mario.

    There have been 13 main games in the FF series and only 2 this gen, what's your point?

    Take a look at the last two shots, it's almost exactly the same scenario, and the 2nd and 3rd shots could very well be shots from different parts of the same game, Like I said Final Fantasy is a milked franchise but Franchises like Mario are milked way more.Besides you're the one who brought up FF in the first place, I was commenting about MGS series which you say is being milked.Let's see five main series games compared to 16 from Zelda and 2 PSP spinoffs and a couple of remasters for the 3DS and PS3/360 against over a dozen spin off titles in the Zelda series and uncountable number of games in the Mario franchies.It's like Nintendo just outright refuse to think about making newer franchises.

    Now you say MGS is being milked, I give you an example of Zelda and Mario and you're defending them so valiantly when clearly Zelda and Mario are milked franchises.Nintendo has made a great impression on you it seems. ;p

    I don't like or play Zelda. Infact, i haven't played/finished a single one yet. Did play a couple of them on GBA but never got around to finish them. I have also checked both Majora's Mask and OOT and i dunno why but i could never get in the game.

    Anyways, PSP also had the PSN version of Chrono Trigger + not to mention the fact that it was a great homebrew and multimedia machine. I still use it to watch animes and other stuff :p

    I did own a DS for a brief time and i really love some of the games like Phoenix Wright but then i got bored of them with time. I sold mine shortly afterwards.

    I have absolutely zero interest in 3DS but only Resident Evil is the game that i want for now. Let's see what is shown at E3 and which one is the biggest loser :p
