Wow they worked on this fast. Downstream rate upped to 8127 and it took less than a day :O Thanks alot for your help dude. I really appreciate it. You were a huge help throughout all this. Now all I need is a really long Ethernet cable to get the best speeds out of this and hope I don't run...- Shahir

The thing is I already have an 8mb package. That's what I ordered in the first place. The only reason I got 4mb was because the guy who came to install it set it up that way. Even said that my package would be downgraded to 4mb since that's what I'm running but I called today and found out I'm...- Shahir

Wow thanks alot for the detailed response man. Definitely helped me understand. Fiber does come up to my local exchange but yeah like you said I don't exactly live near the exchange. I had the option to install fiber by my local cable/internet provider but they were charging an insane amount...- Shahir

Okay so I finally got the connection installed but when installing it the "broadband engineer" told me that my line doesn't support 8mb? And that it might 'just' run 4 mb. So I'm stuck with 4mb right now that seems to be working fine. Could you help me understand how my line can't support 8mb?- Shahir

That won't be needed but wow, talk about bad luck. Turns out my calling actually helped me and at around 4 I got a call from the local guy saying my that my connection would be installed today.
