Jazz VoWiFi doesn't work overseas. Not in Australia at least. Jazz roaming contracts are restricted to UMTS (3G) only with Telstra & Optus. No 4G or 5G connectivity on roaming.

So i contacted Jazz Twitter support for VoWifi activation but he says my Redmi Note 11 isn't eligible for this service even though it is available :/ What should i do to get it activated regardless of their nonsense

Edit: called 111 and the representative said they can't manually activate it for users it will be offered randomly

How much of a difference does dual SIM standby make to the Screen On Time or the overall standby of modern smartphones?
I read somewhere that it could be almost 20-25% or so extra. But then, I think it depends on your battery power as well.

It's definitely quite a bit - single SIMs don't take as much as dual SIMs. If you have a phone with a beefier battery, then use dual SIM.

Redmi Note 11 does support Jazz VoWiFi because I am using in it at home. But Jazz help line was activating VoWiFi as testing purpose. I think their quota for testing purpose is over. Now they aren't activating through helpline because Jazz removed option to activate VoWiFi for help line. It will be made available to everyone now once officially launched. So wait for official launch.

Guys I have an interesting problem/question.

I just got a CPID S21 Ultra 5G. The phone was restarting after a while, and when I dialed a call, it lost its signal and disconnected the call, then rejoined the network.

I had an inkling of what might be wrong so I went into settings and turned off VOLTE. The issue vanished (at least the call dropping one - though the phone hasn't restarted since either).

My question is why? Why is VOLTE causing these issues? This SIM was working fine in my S10 5G with VOLTE enabled.

That's odd - that shouldn't happen. Try enabling VoLTE again and see if it persists?

Maybe it was a glitch. But then, again, you're using a CPID phone so...that's a variable which you can't eliminate.

The phone did restart randomly again. And yeah CPID.. Haven't seen complaints regarding VOLTE with CPID but then again, its not a very common thing so can't find much about it online.

Volte does not work on CPID phones. End of story. You can try your luck with VoWiFi.

Any idea why? I don't care much about it just curious as to why it doesn't work?

On my S10 5G (which is patched, not using CPID), it works fine.

EDIT:

Would it help if I use an IMEI from a modern phone instead of some dirt cheap 2g phone? Or is the issue related to something else entirely?

CPID breaks IMS Profile. Just imagin you are using S23 Ultra phone with patched IMEI of some old Nokia feature phone. Mobile network will recognise the device as non supported VoLTE phone. So VoLTE won't work. Try using IMEI of a latest device which officially supports Jazz VoLTE. But I still think it won't work. Because Phone will still behave as S23 Ultra and Carrier will consider it a different phone. Untill both are same, VoLTE won't work.

I dont think its a CPID issue. I was facing this weird issue too on my Redmi Note 11 for last week but had no idea why it was happening, calls kept dropping after 7-10 minutes and when calling Jazz Helpline and transferring call to customer representative it always dropped. After reading your post i tried to turn off my VoLTE too and it worked, i could connect to Jazz helpline.
I double checked it again by turning on VoLTE and call dropped again

Interesting. Maybe a new SIM will help or a different network's VOLTE.

Will try soon.

Well - since the phone's been modified to show another IMEI and the network recognizes it as something else (maybe, possibly, we'll never know), you have too many variables to rule out anything.

You could try resetting the network settings but there's no guarantee that'll work as well.

Honestly, no idea.

Yeah I put a ufone sim in today, new. The phone showed just GPRS.

Put same sim in my other phone, LTE. Then put it back in the S21 and it started showing LTE too.

As others have mentioned, it looks like an IMEI issue. Did you try looking up on XDA?

You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
