So I guess the reason rt reflections and DLSS wasn't available on PC launch was to lessen the disparity between PC and 'next gen' console versions. They probably had pressure from Microsoft to not make the PC version use it full potential as it would've been shameful for the new and powerful, mighty Series X to be excluded from all these features from launch? Just a theory @Necrokiller @Chandoo

This game was supposed to be the showcase of power, "the game" for series X lol.

Now's that fsr2 is available on consoles what stopping them to implement a fsr2+ray traced 30 fps mode on series X? Maybe we'll see a mode like this later on ?

This game was supposed to be the showcase of power, "the game" for series X lol.
That's a possiblity but I think their engine simply wasn't ready for temporal AA solutions. They are not ruling out DLSS 3 now and it will likely get implemented later on as well. Bodes well for the next Fable game. I expect these features to be available at launch.

Depends where they want to make trade offs. FSR has a performance hit like we saw in Scorn, and adding RT effects on top will probably require downgrades elsewhere. I'm surprised they haven't even implemented TAA on Xbox yet. Their justification is lower resolutions like 1080p benefit from it and the performance mode does infact run at 1080p.

This game was supposed to be the showcase of power, "the game" for series X lol.
They have had multiple games in the same engine release on PC before, this is the first time they've used TAA and most of the reconstruction methods rely on TAA.
