People making excuses need to realize the whole ~10mins gameplay premiere demo was a movie that everyone watched and not a video game that anyone was playing. And they continue to use snippets from the same demo in their most recent "Inside" series of videos. Basically misleading everyone yet again based on choreographed video files lol

lol is this a serious post? That 2018 demo section is still in the game and can very likely be replicated. My whole point of comparing the quality of animation was to explain that those insane levels of motion blending come at the cost of input response. Naughty Dog made the right call prioritizing responsive gameplay over animation. All hands-on impressions have been super positive.
Your fictional statement about the 2018 demo being a choreographed video is just that. Fiction.
Yep, already pre ordered digitally since I do not anticipate finding one physically unless I pre-order one at the store (nor do I want to visit a store)
Well, because the thing that stood out about the animations in the 2018 demo was how well the transitions between them were being interpolated. We already know how prioritizing animation works. The motion matching tech is still there, of course. Just watered down enough to accommodate gameplay. Not sure why this is suddenly being brought up now, as the quality of animations is the same as it was in the footage released from the media hands-on event last year.
I do agree that the AI was probably pre-programmed to perform certain key actions in the 2018 demo, so choreographed in that sense perhaps. But I don't doubt Ellie was being played by someone at ND when the footage was being captured.
Necrokiller feels threatened that his beloved CDPR is finally getting some real competition this year unlike in the case of TW3, where the only competition was a From Software game and an MGS game. Neither studio/IP is known for winning GoTY awards.
TW3 was successful beyond your wildest dreams. Its clear that that is enough salt to last a lifetime for you, especially evident by this statement below:
where the only competition was a From Software game and an MGS game. Neither studio/IP is known for winning GoTY awards.
And yet you were betting on MGS V and Fallout 4 to battle it out for GoTY awards. Where did that come from? :hah:
GTA IV wasn't GoTY either so no reason to believe that GTA V was going to be any different if we apply your logic. Breadth of the Wild did not have any competition. Both Divinity OS2 and Persona 5 are niche in their genres. Horizon Zero Dawn wasn't even a 90. Uncharted 4 faced competition from Overwatch and it lost. Lost Legacy got lost in whatever year it released. Let's not pretend Naught Dog has ever gone up against stiff competition known for winning GoTY awards
Going by this list, it seems like most of the critics' picks for Fallout 3 aren't Metacritic certified? It's gotta be pretty close. Plus, we don't really have the track record for GTAIII, Vice City, and San Andreas. I'm sure at least one of them has been the most popular GoTY in its year of release.
But yeah, personally, I don't care much for awards outside of the Oscar equivalents i.e. GDC, DICE, and BAFTA. GTAIV didn't win any of those. GTAIII did, however.
Naughty Dog, Nintendo EPD, Santa Monica Studio, Bethesda, Valve, and Rockstar (previously DMA Design) are the only studios to have won twice at at least one of these awards.
Guys should i preorder the game or purchase the physical copy? I dont think the game will have any replayable content since its a singleplayer game. So one can sell the physical copy after ending the game....

Some weird ass mental gymnastics going on here to support a personal agenda LMAO. Which itself is subject to shifting goal posts. Even these 3 cherry picked ones haven't been consistent in your arguments (receipts can be provided lol). If ND faced "real competition" because of DMA Design, so did CDPR when they went up against Bethesda Game Studios. Your own shifting goal posts fail to support your claims.
lol you did provide such receipts in the past, which I have already refuted. I primarily followed the DICE and GDC awards, but BAFTA is no slouch. All 3 are highly respected academies. A game winning here is just as big as Parasite winning at the Oscars lol.
Fallout 4 did win 2/3 of the Oscars at the prestigious game awards, so
But yeah, on the whole, TW3 won a majority if we factor the gaming press. Though I didn't see you throwing a fit over Entertainment Weekly's pick for movie of the year like you do for the Oscars. Clearly, there is a distinction even in your mind
Parasite winning Oscar was the first time ever in the 92 year history a foreign film has ever received that recognition. Trying to equate that with video game awards is stupidity of the highest order to say the least.

Not sure how it being a foreign film is relevant to the status of the Oscars. The fact that you consider it a big deal goes to show how much the Oscars mean to you. Only further proving my point
The fact that in the 92 years of the Oscars no other foreign film has done it. That's how
Can BAFTA, DICE and GDC combine to make a 92 years history? Such an absurd strawman to latch onto to come up with a "gotcha" argument when you are the first person to call these 3 the gaming Oscars in the first place. Still not over the results of 2015
Phil keeps talking about breaking barriers to gaming, making it accessible on all platforms yada yada, while killing competition and creativity at the same time. the fact that i actually believed him for a second lol
Phil should be held responsible for this shitfest too, just like Sarah, but it's highly likely that these decisions are coming from Satya. And this isn't even the end of it. More closures are coming.
if we are moving towards more and more popular trash across platforms that make billions for companies, I'm happy with all the barriers and exclusivity because at least that brings some pressure to create good stuff.

"These changes are not a reflection of the creativity and skill of the talented individuals at these teams or the risks they took to try new things" ... seems to me that's exactly what it is
So i just found out that f***ing s***bag Microsoft shut down Arkane Studio (makers of the brilliant Dishonored series) and Tango Gameworks (makers of the iconic The Evil Within series), among some other studios. I just want to say a giant F*** Y**! to Microsoft. THEY'VE F***ED UP BIG TIME this time.
Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.
