Well if we're changing goal posts from "twin stick shooter" to "single-screen twin-stick shooter", we might as well point out that technically Nex Machina a top-down shooter, not an isometric shooter (though this gets confused all the time).
This game is more similar to Alienation (same developer as) than Nex Machina.
Not changing goal posts, I just didn't make it clear I wasn't referring to the sub-category of single-screen games like Geometry Wars or Super Star Dust.
And yes, technically, Nex Machina is very much an isometric shooter by definition. The camera isn't positioned directly above the player character, therefore technically not top-down.
Wikipedia is not the best of sources, but this is accurate:
Despite the name, isometric computer graphics are not necessarily truly isometric—i.e., the x, y, and z axes are not necessarily oriented 120° to each other. Instead, a variety of angles occur; some form of parallel projection, such as dimetric projection with a 2:1 pixel ratio, is the most common.
Official website doesn't say it isn't isometric. Top-down with a 3 dimensional view is isometric. Does the site classify Dead Nation and Alienation as isometric?
We're talking about the official site here, not what digital store fronts say. The term "RPG" was replaced with "action-adventure" on the official site. These are facts. Perhaps the store fronts weren't updated to conform with the game's revised vision? lol
Anyways, top-down can be 2D or 3D. When it's 3D, it's isometric.
no idea how that is a steal by wasting 3500 rupees per month and for games that are removed before you can finish them off.xbox gamepass is garbage with no local prices

Just finished Diablo 4 season in hurry to play Fallout 4 but gamepass released another banger in the form of Star Wars on April 25th. Gamepass is a steal man.
Is it just me or people lately seem to defend every bad game design decision made by the devs and try to give bullshit reasons for that? Or perhaps it's because I'm on reddit and discord
