Yeah if the AI controlled Cloud can jump, it may be an unlockable skill later on. Though, it's weird that they'd put it behind a skill tree.
Played the demo another time and noticed it's possible to pull out the camera. Feels a lot better at the maxed out setting. Another setting worth altering is 'Combo Targeting'. Setting it to 'Free' let's you switch between enemies during your attack chain. I have no idea why these QoL settings weren't enabled by default.
My complaint regarding the evade roll not having enough i-frames is more in relation to boss AoE attacks, such as the scorpion's electrocution attack. Even a well-timed roll will cause damage if you're up close.
