Is it worth it ?

Hi, picking up everything NEW should cost around $1100 which amounts to around 153k PKR. Since your friend is already using it, it now depends on how old and used this equipment is. You can check the pricing yourself on the pcpartpicker.com list I created with the components you mentioned. I think for used equipment it should be less than 135k.

Edit: Do note that local vendors usually add tax and duty and profit on top of the price in dollars mentioned above so the system in Pakistan may cost a bit more than 153k.

Try to get it below 130k.

While it usually depends on what kind of games you play MOBA, AAA etc and on what resolution you play, in this case with the GTX 1070 thrown in you should be getting very high frames. This is a great build for 1080p gaming and a good one for 1440p. You should easily get 60+ frames on most games. However, if you want to game at 4k, then this setup will not help, you would need a beefier CPU and GPU for that probably, an i7 8700 and a GTX 1080, at least, for 4k gaming.

The only thing I would recommend is to include an SSD in the system to boot it. That will greatly reduce loading times for the OS and any game you install on it. This doesn't increase FPS, only load times.

Other than that (and I don't recommend it but) if you have extra cash to spare you can always upgrade the processor to a Ryzen 2700/2700x but it will only result in around 8 to 10% increase in actual game performance (depending on the game), which is not worth it, honestly, considering you can even find a Ryzen 2700 in the local market without the inflated price tag.

Avoid AMD simply because there is going to be no warranty on the motherboard, the processors almost never fail but motherboard's do and with a AMD board you are probably not going to get any warranty.

It's a 9-month-old used system, what warranty would he get be getting anyway. And I am not sure if Asus motherboards fail. I got one, served me since 2014 and running great still.

Choice of parts is very good and the fact that system is fairly new, 9 months are nothing. What I would think is, take that system minus the gpu and buy rtx2060 at the same price. Rest is damn fine.
