Suggestions For PakGamers Main-page

Hello Guys,
As I told U once, the PG portal is nearly completed now it needs few finishing touches and testing etc..right now the features are:

Completed Features:

- Games DB
- Reviews (with ratings)
- Previews
- Articles
- News
- Upcoming Games
- Publishers DB
- Cheats
- Now Playing

Now, I require your ideas about the PG front-page, what shold we put on the main page? right I have:

- Featured News (with small thumbs)
- Latest Forum Posts
- Games DB Browser
- Poll
- Latest Articles (reviews | previews | articles)
- Sites Stats

Let me know what else I should add on the main page?

In the reviews' rating system, more choices should be added. Rating a game with only 4 choices isn't very fair.

@Arsal: the rating system includes:

Presentation
Graphics
Sound
Gameplay
Multiplayer
Overall (auto generated after the calculation of the above)

furthermore, you can also provide 1-2 lines of comments along with every rating like:

Presentation
comments...........

Graphics
comments...........

Sound
comments...........

@Chando: that can be added anytime..as soon as I get some (included in the next promotion phase)

let me know..if anyone got any thing in their mind..


@Balck Cobra: Gaming servers? I Don't think so that there are any pakistani game servers out there on the web..furtheremore, majority of online (no the local ones) are not free...

how about incorporating youtube or gametrailers on the front page (a bit like gamespot).

I second both of these, the overall score shouldn't be a average just allow the user to give it whatever he wants.

if the now playing thing is going to be a video then sure im happy with it, otherwise it would be nice to have a little video screen in the corner of the main page which says "click here to play" and it'll feature the 'video of the day'

yaar where is this reviews section u guys are talking about???...and where are the links to these REVIEWS and GALLERY and GAMER'S JARGOn etc on the top of this site...the only link iz the HOME one...why dont the other links come on...or this is a problem with my pc only???

i mean its like when i point to these links then that firnger cursor doesnt come..its like these are just words and that they dont have a link in them

Some suggestions:
1- Shoutbox should appear on the front page, the length can be anything 50x80 ..whatever suits the theme of the frontpage.
2- There should be a price-check/where-to-buy section... looking at how unstable and unreliable our gaming market is, here in pakistan. It should be updated by reliable members with the latest prices for all the accessories/consoles ...ratings on where to buy in each city ... and stuff ..would help new comers and even the current members alot.

all those things were lost with the big pakgamers crash early this month but will slowly be recovered, just give inferno time.

1) Shoutbox only looks good here on forum, on main-page it will look useless!

2) And who is going to maintain it? there are lots of cities in pakistan, and the price are different in very city! I only have the access to karachi market, who will going to update the information for the rest of the cities? :) but it's a nice suggestion..let me see how much of this Idea can be integrated into the exiting database..

@black Cobra: Featured game of the month/week..is included :)

@Chando: That's what I have already done i-e mini video screen on the left featuring games trailers interviews etc from youtube :)

Just wait bhai, all things will be back soon :) I am already working on these..and I am well aware of these errors/uncompleted links etc..:coffee:

    So i just found out that f***ing s***bag Microsoft shut down Arkane Studio (makers of the brilliant Dishonored series) and Tango Gameworks (makers of the iconic The Evil Within series), among some other studios.     Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.
