People,
Stop ranting and download Cloudflare Warp which acts like a VPN, and unblocks everything.
https://1.1.1.1/beta/
That paticular link is for desktop and it's free.
Max pings 100ms from Pakistan.
CF Warp seems to have made extensive upgrades to their core systems. It is now giving the SAME speeds as using the internet without the VPN. So, if you have a 50MB connection, expect to receive the EXACT speed as you were getting, when you weren't using a VPN.
Virtually, no speed loss...
Works fine on PTCL broadband and Optix is a reseller of PTCL (it uses their infrastructure to sell stuff).
Try their phone app or 4G connection (say ZOng, Telenor etc.) to see if it's Optix playing the villain, or something else.
Even right now, I'm posting this message using CloudFlare Warp...
People,
Cloudflare has launched WARP beta version (works just fine on windows and macos) for desktops.
https://1.1.1.1/beta/
Just download it and spread the word.
For folks who don't know: Cloudflare warp works like a VPN for unblocking and securing internet connections.
Chao.
There is something going at PTCL Karachi data center.
The status of CloudFlare servers is showing re-routed for Karachi for the past two days. This is also a good URL to check if something is wrong at the back end, since CloudFlare uses them as their base in the country...

There are many others, while doing Google search.
The WMS is actually Chinese, though they say they got Americans over it. That's a cover up.
The firewall (like the great firewall of China) just stands between the user and the internet. The state (just like in China) wants to know exactly what their citizens are up to. Keep tabs on everything.
Except Dawn, no one is talking about it. Even the digital rights organizations have been...
Just got a phone call off someone who knows someone high up in PTA. The Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) have installed a firewall that checks URLs before they are served. This causes frequent breakages in the system for people who are using CF and Google DNS, as it tries to circumvent...
Internet is broken for PTCL since the last two weeks. Hope people have complained about this. I have but we need more people to do that so that PTCL data center staff can get off their lazy behinds and fix it.
Problems with breaking of the internet in Karachi since the past 7 to 8 days.
Rumors are that there is a new Chinese firewall that has been put in place within the PTCL data centers, which is breaking websites "randomly."
PTA is filled up with Safrashi FA pass. Bet half of them think internet is just facebook. But, they are too stupid to do these blunders on their own.
Fawad chaudary (the minister of science and tech) is busy making moon sighting calendars.
They start small and with time can go to bigger sites as well. Remember, Youtube remained blocked for several years; and so blocking is not a problem, at all.
We can all use VPNs and DNSes but most Pakistanis have no clue what they are.
PTA has gone rogue. It has just banned thousands of websites in the past two days. Only Dawn.com had the courage to post an article about it. Every other media outlet is mum, quiet.
Well, the business of VPN providers in Pakistan will just grow.
VPN is free with opera browser.
And few others...
It seems that the websites that are blocked when loaded are also creating DNS not found errors "sporadically" when using CloudFlare or Google DNS.
They were forced to unblock bloomberg.com (a business site) and buzfeed the other day.

I have heard that it is now unplayable in countries which do not support handful of third world countries not recognized by Sony like Pakistan. Steam is a true global platform. Then they cry that console gaming is dying.
