Nope, And we dont see it coming anytime in the near future as well.
As you already know that paypal is only in countries with huge e-commerce, and in Pakistan, that thing aint nowhere here in our life time so yeah...
No chances, even with certain pushovers.

I thought introduction of xoom is the first initiative taken by Paypal to start operations in Pakistan and Bangladesh.
Xoom is a different service, I believe.
And its a pretty useful service for people that are abroad, Still dont think it means anything major about paypal actually coming to our country.

To be honest, its in nobodies hand other than Paypal.
Unless we have a sizable e-market.
We wont see them coming here any time soon.
I don't agree that we haven't a sizable market, did you ever check sales of our online stores like daraz.pk, shophive, galaxy, homeshopping and tons of Pakistan stores online. There are tons of third world countries are supported by paypal which have worst economies of the world. Here are the full list of paypal supported country.
PayPal Global - All countries and markets - PayPal

Where the problem lies.
The main problem lies because of State Bank of Pakistan policies. Paypal have problem in accepting these policies, According to some news State Bank of Pakistan wants paypal to track every transaction made and report to State Bank as well as Share Paypal customers data to State Bank of Pakistan and other Secret Services for security purposes.

According to Wikipedia:

In January 2008, PayPal acquired Fraud Sciences, a privately held Israeli start-up company with expertise in online risk tools, for $169 million, in order to enhance PayPal's proprietary fraud management systems.
PayPal has links to Israeli companies and subsidiaries, who would certainly not want PayPal to enter Pakistan as Pakistan does not officially recognize Israel. The issue is more of Political nature than technical or economic.

Online session is enabled for UBL. I have an active subscription with my NayaPay card (it is already added to Google Payment Methods).

did you try setting up Google Payments? For UBL you may have to get it enabled for internet transactions, Naya should work without it!

I tried both NayaPay, and UBL, but I keep getting "correct country selected..." error. I already have PK set there 🤦‍♂️

Did y'all see the new Assassin's Creed trailer? They finally made a AC set in Japan & then they put a negro as the male protagonist. Ubisoft is taking cues from Disney, and it isn't gonna end well for them, just like Disney. Go woke, go broke!

Phil should be held responsible for this shitfest too, just like Sarah, but it's highly likely that these decisions are coming from Satya. And this isn't even the end of it. More closures are coming.

if we are moving towards more and more popular trash across platforms that make billions for companies, I'm happy with all the barriers and exclusivity because at least that brings some pressure to create good stuff.
