Is it possible to make the filter option (that is available at the bottom of the gaming central page) a bit more visible?
Perhaps moving it near the top or something else?

Remove picture preview for Threads in all Classified sections as it takes the page to take loading for longer than anything as well as failed to load more then half of the previews on each page.

Failed to add Emoticons from the Emoticons Windows into the chat sometimes in IE.

Improve the Search Engine for the Forums as this forum has the worst Searching I've ever come across.

I have a suggestion, would it be possible if the console tags (PC, PS3, Xbox, etc.) were put on top of the thread icon instead of before the title? Something like this:

The current system feels kinda eyesore to me. And this could help reading things a bit better.

Its the same all over the forums. Why in classified section only?

Also, on a normal 1Mb connection, it takes barely 3-5 seconds for a page to load, or max 10. But it mostly depends upon the picture quality of the files uploaded by members (some idiots upload as large as 4MB files -- they need to compress them).

Anyway, i'll forward this one. Lets see what the team decides.

Working fine for me in all the browsers. But that may be because i am using "Standard Replybox" from my PG Profile Settings. (You might have been using Enhanced variant -- I suggest you try and change the settings).

Some of the people come forward with this complaint but they never tell us WHY they feel this way. PakGamers has actually one of the most advanced search feature. You need to make use of "Advance Search" feature if you haven't already.

Plus, if you still feel its "worse search feature" ... then please state briefly the reason, to help us understand your issue

We will try to see why that might have happened. It works for me, maybe its a local issue, but we will check none the less

Actually we already have a pretty decent search engine, which is being used in all the forums around the world.

The issue comes where users make threads without properly using TAGs. I will remention this in guidelines thread..Also please check my post in Gaming Central w.r.t new search feature at the bottom of the page, which will allow you all to search for different useful things. ( i.e PC/Xbox/PS... specific games in GC, most recent, etc)

Putting prefixes at that suggested location will create a mess i-e more vertical space per row + some tags are long like "Nintendo" which will further mess up the horizontal space per column, end result: awkward! I will see if I can find something better! it's a cosmetic work so can be done later on

Thanks for the replies abobobilly and NaNoW. Here is the screenshot but unfortunately today it's loading images but usually I just get that red cross many times.



I was just thinking if these Pic-Previews just been removed like it was long time ago it will be good again though I totally agree with you abobobilly as some upload use huge size pictures which can cause preview problems the page tries to load all pictures simultaneously.

I tried the Advanced Search many times but failed to get the desired results maybe it's due to incorrect tags users use as NaNoW has mentioned.

maybe if you can improve it further by previewing the smaller version of the image instead of completely removing it? I tested this on many PC's and browsers at our Gaming Café and it happens in almost every pc :angel3:

1 - I will look into the picture preview thingy

2 - IE always give issues, I recommend using FF or Chrome

3 - PG is one of the few forums who run their own dedicated search software for the forums, we don't use vbulletin built-in stock search engine that's why it's fast and can do 3 characters search as well. For filters and option please try the "Advance Search" option from the top navigation.

If everything is being brought together then there should be some sort of a button where I can turn off specific kinds of threads. I only own a Playstation and PC and juggling through all the other consoles to find threads related to my system would be an inconvenience. Although that kind of removes the point of bringing it all together in the first place. o.o
