Its good for expensive items like GPU when even after paying shipping and customs it still sometimes become cheaper then our local market rates.
I don't think I agree with that. It's gonna still cost you more. Since you paid import fees + sales tax and everything just for that 1 item. Where as when the big shopkeepers sell you their charges get distributed over the whole unit and they buy at wholesale rate.

IMO it's gonna cost you more. Either way, if you don't wanna check with a cheap item all you can do is risk buying an expensive one hoping whatever they've written is true.

No it won't. It absolutely won't. Considering you buy directly from amazon and not sellers you can actually get it MUCH cheaper. My friend ordered and received EVGE FTW 2080 Super OC for around 130k last year. It was on a $50 off deal. In Pak many high end 2070 Super sell for 120k.

Look at 3080, fucking bad Zotac Trinity 3080 OC is listed at czone for 189k. YES 189,000 Rs for a REFERENCE card whose MSRP is $725 USD. If you buy it from amazon you WILL GET it for less then 150k PKR i can guarantee you that. That's considering you can find it in stock though.

Well then do try and share the results xD
I will buy 6800 XT from amazon Inshallah. Just hoping the supply issue with Big Navi isn't as bad as Nvidia 3000 series. I also intend to upgrade my 3900x to 5900x so may buy 5900x from amazon too and sale my 3900x here.

Hi @MrGutsy ,

Did you end up buying anything? I am also considering buying something through their Amazon (AmazonGlobal Shipping).
Thread is a year old now,
But what are you buying?

Recently a few folks I know have gone through it, one of them got a partial refund because the custom was less than what was deposited.

Bro i want to buy this https://www.amazon.com/Acer-XV252Q-Fbmiiprx-FreeSync-Technology/dp/B095X5KQY8

I checked with Pkship and Shopping bag and they quoted 190k for this where as with Amazon Global Shipping, it will cost me only 821 dollars - 132K PKR which is much better then ordering through these third party companies. Just want to see if any one else has ordered through Amazon directly before i pull the trigger.

Well, the monitor IS kind of risky if you ask me.
Long shipping distance, hard to tell if it'll be in good condition by the time it reaches you.
I'd advise against importing a monitor and start looking for alternatives locally.

amazon has a 30 day return policy, if there is any issue he can send it back directly to amazon and they even will bear the shipping fees if im not wrong.

now that is interesting.
but how are we supposed to *export* the electronic out lol

iirc, mine whole K95 warranty deal with corsair went south because of some policy about not "exporting" electronic. 🤔

if amazons items can come here than surely they have a return policy in place as well. it would very well might be through UPS or fedex, dhl etc.

Something that I should try out one of these days.

though from what I initially heard when things started shipping here was all just that, it was just shipping, nothing much of the official support since they aren't officially here.

Does this mean Amazon delivers directly to your doorstep, ie they clear customs, and I won't have to deal with customs?

Their local partner will handle the shipping, so it is not "amazon" that will.
Amazon merely ships the product as a middle man from the Sellers location provided they provide Global Shipping service in their region.

basically, you are buying something from Amazon just as you do from AliExpress.

I want to but a gaming laptop on black friday sale from amazon. Will I have to pay any extra charges in pakistan beside upfront import duty? ( as per amazon website). In addition, what about custom clearance? I mean willmy laptop be delivered to my doorstep? or would I have to go through the custom clearance process? Anyone has any experience?

This thread is quite old but anyone else had success w receiving Amazon packages lately?

I ordered a few items and so far they're stuck at Lahore Airport customs with no release in sight. 🙏

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
