I'm looking for a Nokia 2720. The one which has Wifi + 4G, not the clone floating around in the market.
Preferably A Red or Black color which is PTA approved. But if it's white or isn't PTA approved that's fine too.
A decent option for around 5K. See if you can something a bit more powerful like 16/128MB and a bit more CPU power (search other stores/used routers)/ If you can't, this should be a decent start nevertheless.
What's your current up/down speed? Depending on that the CPU power of the C20 may be...
DO NOT GET 4/32 Flash/Ram routers. Get 8/64 Flash/Ram routers MINIMUM
4mb flash support is very bare right now and will be dropped in the next version. 8mb should be the minimum and ideally 16mb or more.
You may get away with 32mb ram but freezing issues after a few days of running time might...
Well as I don't game much nowadays and have found PTCL's stock configuration to be adequette for my needs, I setup the secondary router as a wi-fi extender instead of the main router to hand SQM.
But when I did try it (using the above configuration) I went from a B-A in the bufferbloat test to a...
Plug in a 2nd router with Openwrt. Then turn off Wifi on the ONT and put the ip of the 2nd router in DMZ, after that make sure each and every device is connected to the Openwrt Router.
Apperantly to bridge the ONT you'd have to call in the exchange guys to help you since it's a locked option...
I'm pretty sure you could get some results if you only have the router connected to the ONT and nothing else, turn off the wi-fi and disconnect any ethernet devices from the ONT. Then when you do setup SQM on the router, it should in theory work just fine.
NAT issues might pop up, but I think a...
Yes, Transworld did advertise QoS and claimed minimal latency throughout and they still do. But, given that they have to deal with many connections I don't think theirs would be fully perfect either. As in Peak times even SQM would fail because the ISP is underload and you start getting lower...
You don't setup SQM on PTCL's ONT. You have to buy another router (Check OpenWRT's router compatibility list), then install OpenWRT which will then give you the SQM feature along with many others on your router.
Before I basically set my ADSL router to Bridge mode (Turning it into a basic Modem...
That will only help if you have an issue within your home network. for e.g someone watching an HD video on a 5mbit connection which basically maxes it out, leaving none or very little left for games OR perhaps a torrent is sucking up all the bandwidth. This won't magically deal with bad routing...
I have heard that it is now unplayable in countries which do not support handful of third world countries not recognized by Sony like Pakistan. Steam is a true global platform. Then they cry that console gaming is dying.
