Cooling Fans are most important part of case cooling, while high end rigs only looks cooler if they have good airflow performance fans. Noctua in recent years broaden their range of cooling fans to industrial Protection performance cooling Fans which now renowned as most effective performance fans out there with more than desirable performance. As for production line, Noctua has expanded them in to two different qualities Redux and Industrial PPC.
I have done various reviews on PC components, but for cooling fans, it’s my first ever focus. Today I will shed light on Noctua Industrial iPPC Fans was out in last year – Noctua NF-F12 industrial PPC-3000 PWM. Industrial PPC fans are comparatively cooler and fabulous showcase once they installed in PC. Featuring SSO2 bearing while ingress protection rating spotted at IP52 which means the motor is protected from Water and dust effect. Well, this definitely a big plus for those pc who are victim of dust most of the time.
Industrial PPC Fans comes in NH-F12 and NF-F14 with 2000PWM and 3000PWM. I will only focus on NF- F12-3000 PWM product.

I received the Fans in two small frame size box having black and brown color. You can get idea for Fan color scheme from box. inside the box 4 screws each in a small plastic packet.

The Fan design and color scheme of fans looks fabulous. I fall in love with them. they are big heavy but quality is unobjectionable. A serious worked on it.

Noctua industrial PPC (protection performance control) fans are international press award winning cooling fans featuring SSO2 ball bearing enhancing durability and high precision and more stabilization. Running at 3000 rpm rotational speed twice the 1500rpm of precedent from Noctua, the kind of speed for maintaining airflows in extreme rated Gaming Rigs. Despite of high RPM Noctua IPPC and due to Three Phase Motor Design this retail model are now more energy efficient than ever before. About 10% more energy efficient comparing to 2000 RPM version. In addition, it’s much improved in protection levels from water and dust influence, featuring IP52 an advance protecting resistant while the motor ad PCB is covered with special protection coating.
The Frame technology IPPC 3000 PWM uses is FocusedFlow especially designed to keep the airflow focused towards components especially when you have Radiator and heatsink installed in your rigs. It designs for moving air with relatively less noise (which most people demands) and certainly high static pressure which means with these Noctua IPPC you will have better moving air out of the heatsink and radiators.
Why you need High Static pressure?
Well, high static pressure fans are collaboratively works in blowing or pushing the hot air out of the fan and if you’re using radiators it definitely a huge advantage where you need more hot air out of the specific area. High pressure basically a force which throws out air out of fans. Noctua IPPC 3000 RPM is great example of it
While better airflow fan works great for open environment in Case. Airflow Fans spin faster but they have low Static pressure (conditioned). Usually they are used to balance the open air environment.
Gamer’s choices are not different, whether it is low speed quietest fans or high speed high dba fans. However, it depends on User’s preference what they really wanted to see in rig. Despite of high performance, Noctua never compromises on noise. The color scheme and design Noctua chosen for high end Gaming Rig is very interesting. Black and red with interchangeable rubber through Chroma that works pretty well for distinguish desires. Unlike the Redux which were pretty much color faded design fan. NF-F12 fans are not transparent but certainly one of the silent fans available in the market considering price and performance.
I installed iPPC NF-F12 300o PWM fan on Noctua Nh-U14s heatsink. I overclock i5 4670K to 4.2GHz to determine maximum and minimum processor temperatures operated at full fan speed. I ran test at around 5 minutes and the results are fairly better. The high static pressure blows air out of the fan quite effectively. It peak out to 69C while the lowest temperature reading monitored is 61C.
Extended monitored results for per core temperature were also graphed.

Noctua Never Compromises with quality. Nor the performance in a perfect bang for buck. A Black and brown color theme put Noctua 2 way step ahead in their precedent Redux cooling PWM fan design which was rather odd looking in gaming rigs. By introducing iPPC NF-F12 with various effective features like SSO2, FocusedFlow and Static Pressure Noctua overlay to its other counterparts right now available in the market.
Cooling performance of Noctua iPPC NF-F12 is productive, with 3000RPM and high static Pressure, the air exhaust is definitely no issue. Especially when it comes to blowing air out of Heatsink or from Air cooler. At 3000 RPM Fan definitely will make lousy, however you can control the speed by using any Monitoring utility which seems very much possible. I used ASUS AI Suite III for controlling Fan speed from Silent fan speed to Full speed. I used Noctua NH-U14S heatsink and install iPPC NF-F12 on it. I overclocked and the processor set fan to exhaust the hot air straight out of it. Which helps hot air cooled faster than any other cooling fan. result was satisfactory. 3-4C difference under dedicated Testing environment, NF-F12 cooled down the CPU cooling by 3-4C. A stronger yet efficient cooling performance delivered by industrialPPC Fan.
I have used and experienced Cryorig QF120 PWM Fans 2200, NF A15 PWM cooling Fans as well. The performance is relatively on par while After installing the iPPC NF F12 PWM fan I felt the difference in exhausting air out of hot air. The Build Quality is comparatively outstanding while a strong airflow yet high static pressure serving dual purpose Chassis and heatsink cooling too. What I have seen this Fan can give you potent performance when comparing to other PWM fans. Undoubtedly, one of the best designed PWM in the market.
