Many of you likes to mod your rigs with ultimate beauty of components. Memory is one of the aspect that parts one factor upon many. High profile memories are most preferable choices when it comes to Building Extreme Rigs. In this regard, some companies have designed Memory modules with keeping in mind the preferences. But one the of known Memory manufacturer have unleashed its beautiful aspect of its production with XPG V3 style memory Module, not only faster in speed but intuitively gorgeous as well.
Recently, I have go through ADATA XPG V3 series Module for the first time, which by far the most impressive featured Memory modules I have ever experienced in terms of aesthetic. ADATA XPG V3 32GB DDR3 memory kit works at faster 2133 MHz Speed while it operates at 1.65V for ultimate overclocking. The Memory modules are built for high performance with latency rate 10.12.12.30 and at commanding 2T by default. My First impression takes me all to Red and Black theme stick with beautiful heatsink place over. While ADATA offering additional Fins heatsink. Pre-installed RED fin is detachable and replaceable with one that comes in package. Impressive approach from ADATA to say the least.
ADATA XPG V3 series comes in many capacities ranges from 1600 MHz to 3100 MHz a long tail of modules dedicated to XPG V3. Promising to deliver decent performance at considerably the most reasonable prices.
Price factor can make or break the deal. Does this XPG V3 2133MHz module really worth buying over other performance series memory modules? Let’s move on to our thorough Review
Packaging and the content
The package was shipped with ADATA packaging which includes RAM modules and 2 extra Fins each kit.
I received the replaceable fins in light green color scheme instead of viral Gold.
Module design is fantastic while the finishing is extremely impressive.
A Closer Look
Testing and Performance
For Testing, I overclocked Core i5 4670K to 4.4GHz or 4400MHz from 3.5GHz to exclude any bottleneck, if any. While Memory was at defaults clocks and same goes to its timing. ADATA XPG V3 2133MHz performs fairly well in several benchmarks. In close encounters to Corsair Dominator, its performance never landed far too behind, but stayed closed to it. Reading performance shines at latency 57 ns. We cannot say its best in the field but close and effective.
I tested Memory modules at different timing and speed. At maximum 2400MHz speed, module able to utilize at 22.214.171.124 latency rate. While operated at 1.67 Voltage. The results can be seen in above chart.
Final Words and Conclusion
$106 (16GB Kit) MSRP
- Attractive Color Scheme
- Aesthetic Design
- Additional Fins for color combination
- Reasonable price
- Competitive Performance
- High Profile for Enthusiastic Build
I have experienced many memory modules, but this one impressed me with its quality build includes ULTRA great finishing. The red and black color scheme is best of all especially when it comes to matching the stick with Red color scheme motherboard. The stylish heatsink is a huge improvement in ADATA XPG memory lineup. In addition, the new upgrade ADATA bring to the memory segment are Extra fins which are replaceable to pre-installed red ones. Extremely worth trying. I loved the choices and scheme they did on that.
Performance never stay behind. Reading performance is on par to its counterparts. These modules are operating at 1.65V which is big plus for those who wants to overclock DDR3 to extreme i: e 2400 MHz or so. With so much room in timing which generally help much more in achieving maximum possible speed. This module can overclock to 2400MHz at ease, by losing timings a bit and bumping up the Voltage to fuller. At 2400MHz, it was perfectly stable while the timing was loosen to 126.96.36.199 doesn’t allow to reduce the performance in fact it improves latency rate which stand at 48.8ns firmly. I would have gone a bit more, but further overclocking was seemed not possible, as PC rebooting after BIOS screen. Helps me identify the maximum potential of XPG V3.
Now comes to Price and availability. ADATA, in comparison, priced these fabulous modules quite decently. Standing at $110 MSRP seems worth the wallet. Wonderful Design, most attractive color combinations ever seen while the performance is no less in the business. For those who are Hardware Enthusiasts and searching dual combination Modules for their modded Rig, ADATA XPG V3 is a fine deal.
