Finally a post by someone other than CT in official thread of Xenoblade Chronicles "Definitive Edition". Popular games indeed ^_^
This game's "DEFINITIVE EDITION" is as disappointing as Final Fantasy 8's remaster in my opinion
I agree that FF8's remaster is a disappointment, since the backgrounds are really ugly and stand out in comparison to the character models. But that's not the case for Xenoblade Chronicles DE. Character models and environments are both remade to bring the visuals on-par with Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Plus, there are QoL gameplay/UI improvements.
Perhaps you don't like the more "anime"-ish character aesthetic?

with a score of 89 as a definitive edition on meta and userscore at 9.3. who's to argue
I like both (though not a fan of FFVIII's level scaling), but prefer Xenoblade Chronicles. It's also the better reviewed gameRemasters aside, FF8 is the better game of the two for sure

Just finished Diablo 4 season in hurry to play Fallout 4 but gamepass released another banger in the form of Star Wars on April 25th. Gamepass is a steal man.
