So finished binge watching it last night. And I still can't get the show out of my head. It was pretty great from the start but the last couple of episodes, DAMN!

The way this show revealed some of its stuff, WOW!! So glad I binged it. Wouldn't have been able to do it on a weekly basis. :p

@Spartan 117 n guess what, George RR Martin had an idea for WestWorld and Game of Thrones cross over. Now how is it possible well it will require a major re-writes by both Nolan n George but its very much possible and would be best thing ever happening on TV for GOT fans. A Westeros inside WestWorld park. But im not sure if Nolanz r interested in this or any WestWorld fan would like such an idea. The excitement of the show is very much over, which was in its mystery and GOT crossover will not help or create such thing. But the idea was tempting :D

its George RR Martin wish and Lisa Joy seems least interested in this sort of thing because there are so many things which cant be done for example dragons and white walkers, pure things of fiction and being a WestWorld fan, no WW fan would like such kind of stuff in this show. Well any medieval world is more or less like Westeros which is already part of Westworld extended world. It will not damage or ruin GOT but it will for sure put-off many WW fans including its creators :)

Well, there are other parks in Wesworld, which I'm sure they'll confirm it in second season, so it CAN actually happen. But I wouldn't want that. The whole world and feeling that GOT carefully created over the last six years could loose its charm/impact in my opinion, so I hope they stray away from doing this. :p

IT sucks that we have to wait til 2018 for the next season. This wait will surely suck. :(

My brain hurts after watching last two episodes.

Am 5 episodes in. Terrific. Such an intriguing concept, and one that hopes to answer its mysteries. I like the setup, the characters, the science aspect, nature of humanity. I hope the rest of the season lives up.

[h=1]HBO Sets Westworld Season 2 for Spring 2018 Premiere[/h]

HBO has now confirmed that Westworld season 2 will premiere next spring. When the show arrived last fall, it gave HBO something that the network had been looking for over many years: a buzzed-about genre hit to match Game of Thrones. Since Thrones first premiered, various HBO shows have come and gone without becoming the network’s next big hit (see, for example, the period-music drama Vinyl). The hour-long, sci-fi/western hybrid that is Westworld finally bucked that trend and quickly earned a season 2 renewal. It even earned some Emmy nominations, including for Outstanding Drama, as the only HBO show in the category.
A remake of the 1973 film Westworld, which was written and directed by Michael Crichton, the HBO TV series hales from executive producers Jonathan Nolan, Lisa Joy and J.J. Abrams. Westworld season 1 told a compelling story about a robot-driven Western theme park, with a strong cast led by Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Thandie Newton, Evan Rachel Wood, Jeffrey Wright and Tessa Thompson. A new trailer for season 2 debuted last week at San Diego Comic-Con, and now we know more about when we will be seeing more Westworld.

The second season of Westworld, which is currently in production, will air in the spring of 2018 – as confirmed by a PR overview of the premiere dates for all of the current HBO/Cinemax TV series. Westworld aired its first season in the fall of 2016 but since it wasn’t on this fall’s schedule, it was soon made clear that we wouldn’t be seeing any new episodes until next year.

The Westworld season 2 Comic-Con trailer hinted at some dramatic developments (and lots of bloodshed) to come, in the episodes ahead. Following the surprise revelations at the end of Season 1, it looks like we’re heading for even more open conflict between the hosts and the guests of the eponymous park. Also, most of the cast appears to be back (sans Hopkins), and there’s a tiger, too.
Westworld’s spring scheduling is significant for HBO because it puts the series in the schedule spot that was held for years by Game of Thrones. The premium network’s flagship drama had aired all of its seasons, with the exception of the current one, in the March/April window, and the placing of Westworld there indicates that it’s the heir apparent as HBO’s major dramatic show. Whether Game of Thrones will return in the summer of 2018 for its final episodes, or sometime later, remains unclear.

[h=1]Westworld Season 2 Casts The Wolverine Actor[/h]

Westworld season 2 has added The Wolverine and Life actor Hiroyuki Sanada to its ever-expanding cast. New episodes of the HBO sci-fi series are currently in production, though some fresh Westworld footage has already found its way out to the world via an HBO 2018 preview video.
Adapted from a movie written and directed by Michael Crichton and starring Yul Brynner, Westworld chronicles the violent and sexy goings-on at a futuristic theme park where high-rollers get to live out their Old West fantasies with the help of highly-realistic androids called Hosts. Season 1 challenged its audience via a split-timeline narrative following various characters including the suddenly self-aware Hosts Maeve (Thandie Newton) and Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood), the park’s enigmatic creator Dr. Robert Ford (Anthony Hopkins) and the mysterious Man in Black (Ed Harris). Season 2 will pick up the action after the catastrophic events of the season 1 finale, which included a bloody massacre that took the life of Robert Ford and set the stage for Dolores’ continued evolution.

As reported by IMDb, The Wolverine actor Hiroyuki Sanada has joined the cast of Westworld season 2, where he will play a character named Musashi. There is no indication right now that the casting of an Asian actor necessarily confirms a fan theory that season 2 will include a new park built around a Samurai theme, though no doubt some will come to that conclusion. Sanada joins Gustaf Skarsgard (Vikings), Betty Gabriel (The Purge: Election Year) and Fares Fares (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) on the list of cast additions in Westworld season 2.

The veteran actor Sanada has accumulated a long, long list of credits in Asian films and TV series including the original Ringu and its sequel Ringu 2. Sanada made his first significant mark in American films as Kaneda in the science fiction movie Sunshine, then went on to score roles in Rush Hour 3, Speed Racer, The Wolverine and 47 Ronin. Sanada played Dogen on the TV series Lost, and later also appeared on the sci-fi series Extant. In 2017, he appeared as Murakami in the under-performing sci-fi/horror film Life.
Details about season 2 of Westworld are being kept under lock-and-key – and with production still underway, it’s bound to be awhile before we begin finding out anything substantial about where the series is headed. The few bits that have trickled out are teasing a second season where the Hosts have taken over the park and begun hunting down guests, giving the customers a little more than they bargained for when they bought their ticket for a little harmless Wild West robot fun.
Principal players Evan Rachel Wood, Ed Harris, Thandie Newton, Jeffrey Wright and James Marsden are confirmed to return for Westworld season 2. Other new cast members include Jonathan Tucker (American Gods), Neil Jackson (Sleepy Hollow) and Katja Herbers (The Leftovers).

[h=1]Westworld Star Confirms Season 2 to Premiere Spring 2018[/h]

Westworld season 2 will still premiere in spring 2018. A reimagining of Michael Chricton’s 1973 sci-fi/Western hybrid, the long-gestating series took years to make it to screen. The pilot was greenlit in 2013, a series order was granted the following year, and after a number of delays, the show finally debuted on HBO in 2016. Because of its ambitious nature, it was unsurprising when executive producers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy announced Westworld wouldn’t return until 2018. The narratives often hinge upon big, story-changing twists, and the visual effects are elaborate, both things that demand lots of time and careful planning. Considering how long it took to make season 1, a 2018 target seemed quite reasonable.
Then, in July, a PR overview of the premiere dates for all of the current HBO/Cinemax TV series revealed that the Westworld season 2 premiere date would hit sometime in spring 2018. That could mean anywhere from March to late May, but regardless, is much sooner than some may have expected. But last week, when reports emerged that production had been temporarily suspended as a recurring actor recovered from an off-set medical emergency, it sparked concern that season 2 might be pushed back. Apparently, however, things seem to be on track.

On Monday, Evan Rachel Wood, who stars as park host Dolores Abernathy, confirmed via Twitter that Westworld‘s second season is still slated to air in spring 2018. That particular time slot is important, as it positions the series as Game of Thrones‘ direct successor. Up until this year, GoT has aired in the March/April window, but with its eighth and final season also set for 2018 (likely in the summer), Westworld is now primed to take its place as HBO’s dramatic headliner.

The news should also come as a relief to viewers. Not only did the show accrue a rabid fan base eager for its return, but the first season closed with several major bombshells: The Man In Black revealed he was, indeed, an aging William; Maeve officially made her first free-will decision; and Dolores shot Ford point-blank, killing him before turning her gun toward the onlooking guests and igniting a park-wide massacre. Needless to say, anticipation is high to see where things pick up in season 2.
The Westworld footage released thus far has teased further conflict between the hosts and the park’s human guests, and cast interviews have promised more carnage, amped up chaos, and an evolved Delores. Whereas season 1 was all about slow, simmering tension, season 2 seems to be about release. The hosts are now newly awakened, and apparently, they’re out for blood.

[h=1]Westworld Season 3 Casts Aaron Paul as Series Regular[/h]

Breaking Bad veteran Aaron Paul has joined the cast of HBO's Westworld for season 3. The sci-fi TV show started out as a small screen re-imagining of Michael Crichton's 1973 film about a futuristic adult-theme park gone rogue, but has since taken on a life all its own. Westworld season 2 only just aired this past spring (two years after its first season premiered) and - depending on who you ask - was either an ambitious attempt to seamlessly weave together multiple plot threads set in different timelines... or an unnecessarily convoluted exercise in trying to outsmart TV viewers in the age of Reddit fan theory forums.
Either way you cut it, Westworld is one of the more narratively complicated shows on television right now and will undoubtedly continue to be just that when it returns with its third season sometime within the next 1-2 years. Showrunners Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan have described Westworld season 3 as being a "radical shift" - albeit, one that will continue to explore the lives of the Hosts that reside within the eponymous park in new and (hopefully) exciting ways.

According to
Deadline, Paul will be playing a new series regular on Westworldseason 3 - though whether he's a human, a Host, or a Host who mistakenly believes themselves to be a human, remains to be seen. Since his days playing Jesse Pinkman, the actor has found room for a handful of movie roles in-between his guest-starring stint on the animated BoJack Horseman comedy series and his recurring role on the Hulu drama The Path (which finished its run this past spring). Paul will continue to build his TV acting resume with his upcoming roles in not only Westworld, but also the Apple anthology series Are You Sleeping?.

Westworld left some tantalizing story threads dangling in its season 2 finale, including
a post-credits scene revealing that William aka. The Man in Black (Ed Harris) will finally become a Host himself, at some point in the show's future. Meanwhile, although the Host rebellion within Westworld has been quelled for the time being, the season 2 finale indicated that it won't be long before Hosts like Maeve (Thandie Newton) are up and running again... and who knows what they will remember, upon their return. If that wasn't enough, the season ended with Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) escaping the park disguised as Westworld boss Charlotte Hale (Tessa Thompson) and bringing several Host control units with her, Bernard's (Jeffrey Wright) included.

While it's possible Paul will play a new human addition in Westworld season 3, he could just as well end up playing one of the many Westworld Hosts (
or a Host from another park) that viewers haven't been introduced to yet. He could even be playing a brand-new Host that's incorporated into the Westworld park to serve as the replacement for Teddy (James Marsden), who may be permanently gone after passing through The Door in season 2... or not. Whatever his role winds up being, Paul is very much a welcome addition to HBO's mind-bending murder robot series.

Westworld season 3 doesn't have a premiere date yet. We will let you know when that changes.
