Yay the 10percent increment from transworld is not happening... before at the start of this month they sent emails they would starting january increase 10 percent permonth bills but not anymore

Does your IP start with 103.x? If so, you're on their CGNAT pool, which is what they put all new connections on by default.

Just email them and say you want NAT Type 2 for the purpose of online gaming and to put your ONT in bridge mode.

If you have a Windows 10 PC, open the Xbox app, go to settings, run a connection test, and it'll show Strict NAT (Type 3), take a screenshot, and attach that with the email where you request for NAT Type 2. It's a requirement for them to switch you over.

They'll eventually email back saying it's been switched and to restart your ONT.

For the bridge mode request, it's literally just that. Ask for bridge mode, they'll change your ONT config remotely and email (or call) you to give you the PPPoE credentials.

Connect LAN 1 from ONT to your router, enter PPPoE user/pass and it should connect almost immediately.

Now you've got the perfect setup. You're not behind their carrier grade NAT and are on a normal dynamic IP pool, and you've got full control of your connection rather than being locked down by the ONT.

Type 1 is possible, but that would require the internet only to be connected to the device you're gaming on. Very inconvenient for normal use since all other devices will be cut off and only the PC / console will have internet access.

Type 2 is fine, all games work perfectly and I haven't had any issues so far.

The 70 and 100 Mbps packages are priced terribly.

13k for 100 Mbps is not worth it.

The service is decent, customer support is also decent, can be a bit stupid at times. Billing is a pain in the ass, they claim to be working on it, but I don't see anything happening.

It's worse than Jazz postpaid billing.

The bill is late, every month. The amount is always wrong, sometimes they charge me 250 extra, sometimes 800 extra for installation charges, sometimes I get charged for monthly installments on ONT, which is wrong since I paid full amount up front.

Every month I have to email billing department to send a revised bill, which is a nuisance since I subscribed in August 2018, and not a single bill has been correct the first time.

Then comes the inconvenience of only being able to pay at one bank. Then they have their own special TES deposit slips, which they sometimes send with the physical copy of the bill, and sometimes don't. They're only available at two branches in ISB/RWP, one of which is in DHA, and the other in Bahria Phase 7 (where they don't even have service).

The HBL Branch in Phase 4 doesn't have them, so you either have to email the billing department to send you a few, or drive to the other branches to go and pick some up.

Wow. That really is worse than Mobilink.

I saw that our bank allows customers to pay TES bills from the internet banking app. Maybe that'll help you?

I don't use Konnect - I tried signing up to it but it wouldn't accept the details I gave against my CNIC. So I don't bother.

And yes, it is a part of HBL.

If you have an HBL card (debit or credit), you can use their internet banking to pay the bills too. You don't have to be an account holder.

But then, you'll have to pay your bill via cheque.

Thanks. I'm happy with SF except that we are 10 users and 30mbps is sometimes limiting when everyone wants to stream.

Also how is the TV service? Again StormFiber is really good.

8 users here, and I can relate 100%.

We have TES 70 Mbps, and while it's quite expensive, everyone can use it comfortably.

Also how is the TV service? Again StormFiber is really good.

For some reason they aren't offering TV in Islamabad yet, so I can't comment on that. It's only in Lahore and Karachi I think.

Nope. No TV, no landline. Even though they had earlier said we'll give an NTC landline number with 051-9xxxxxx number format.

DHA Teleman uses the same fiber link but Transworld doesn't have control over it. Moreover, DHA is not allowing them to launch their TV services because of Teleman TV (Teleman = DHA owned)

guys so i finally opted to get nat type 2 on my 20mb connection at first they were like just send us a screenshot we'd do it for you and all, after submitting said stuff they returned me an email saying that your retail package cannot obtain nat type 2, said package can only get static ip. wtf is this and asked 337rs permonth, at time installation i asked to be given this and the installation guy said so everyting would be done for and all but now this BS crap. plus iget 100pings no less on their connection, when i asked this they said we promise to give 30 to 50ms at max pings. so how can my problem get solved ?

without the pay for extra money ofcourse.

You get 100 ms to which server?

Also, by retail package do you mean corporate package? If so, the rules might be different for those connections.

well i have installed it at my gaming zone and i installed it april 2018 one of the few first when it launched in my area in dha phase 4 and was only being given to retail customers not residential. retail could be a bit different from those soho packages or corporate...

i get pings 100 and above to fortnite and rainbow six siege etc... those games. i have never got pings 80 or so as such they claim to give....
