there shud be a Lo-Fi edition of the forum

I wud love to c an option lo-fi edition of the forum .... the problem is ... i cant stick around my pc all the time due to extreme workload ..i guess nobody can .. a lo-fi edition that'd make the site more easily viewable on my phone would be cool ..there are already loads of websites supporting lo-fi edition of their sites/forums ... its just a matter of messing or install a new script ... helps ppl with slow connections .. or GPRS users alot ...this site looks OK on opera mini on my SE K750i ..but then ..due to soo many images which look goodon PC only ... it takes quite some time on my opera mini ...

well, you'll probably have to wait for that inferno has to get this website back in working order as it used to be before new features are implemented.

the current version can be made lowified if you just turn off the images on your browser the pages open in a fly.

Chandoo i've been using that 'trick' of urs for years now ..but that isn't real Lo-Fi anyway

RK .. just make sure u've got the latest version of Opera Mini .. thats v3.0 these days ... the first time u run it it'll automatically run some network tests and check out whether ur connection is Express (Socket) or Non-Express (HTTP)

There isn't much stuff to mess around with. Also make sure u've clearly set the active GPRS profile for Java softwares in the Java settings part of internet settings.

Gmail app was a pain in the arse to set .. actually i had to find some certificate to make it work ..but all of my Java internet apps are workign great now.

aray yaar topic creator you must have the worst net connection in the world, turning off images results in pages opening on the fly for me, and even with the images on it only takes a couple of seconds per page. That gets reduced as well once all the images get cached'.

I am getting the SAME version on Opera Mini, inferno ... no use :/ ... it takes less than 3 seconds for the main page to load but still i want teh simplified Lo-Fi version as on se-nse / esato's forums etc ... hope u give it some time when u r done with the primary issues of PG.
