I got a bit of a situation here. I have a Xbox 360 Jasper (Almost a new one). A while back i played the 360 for One and a half hour and then i turned it off. I checked the side of the 360 and it was quite hot. Then my brother came and turned it back on after 15 mins which i know he shouldn't have done until the 360 cooled down. But when he pressed the power button it turned green for just a split second and then off again. I tried it several times even after the 360 had cooled down after half an hour or so and it again turns on (Shows the green power light) for a split second and then turns off. It doesn't show any of the red lights or so. I checked all the cable's. I reconnected them again aswell but nothing of this is helping me. I keep my console vertical so i even tried to turn it on while keeping it horizontal but still no luck. =/
So could someone please help me out. The Jasper cant die on me like this. =(

Edit: The fans dont even start up.

that happened to my xbox 360 slim.But that was actually because i used the wrong converter and burned my Power brick .I think you either burned your powerbrick or the converter thats why .

i heard that now 360 support usb drive to install and save game i insert my usb drive in 360 its was formatted in fat mode i did not see it any where in memory area only internal memory available any suggestions

Did you update your xbox360 to the latest update? Also did you format your USB using the xbox360?

i dont know my xbox updated or not
i m playing red dead redemption so i think its run on latest update

no i did not format usb using xbox i did not find usb in xbox this usb was working fine in ps3 i just insert it in xbox

Make sure the USB is more than 1gb. Put the USB into the xbox, go to system config and select memory the USB should show up select it and it would ask you to format it.

i have 1 more question

if i buy 8gb usb will i able to intall game on it like xbox360 hard drive for example kingston 8 gb is there any problem like frame drop or huge loading time

Yes it will install and run games perfectly fine, but make sure you don't get those china usbs.

Well I have played myself quite alot demos , and the thing is they work perfectly without any glitch or some kind of lag. Feel free to use USB as Installation medium and get rid of lousy drive's noise

Firstly.. you have to format your usb when you connect it to the xbox 360.. it configures it..
Secondly.. The main purpose of installing games is to make gameplay stable and decrease loading times..
