True. Even CDPR's own system for hair is mighty impressive and NV Hair takes it on par with Tress FX. Didn't expect they'll include such improvements given the scope of the game but they've outdone themselves.

Its not in Pak yet.

The game has been censored for some countries. I am sure it will be censored for all platforms in those regions.

If its the Adult content that has been censored only I don't see any issue buying it, especially now that I am sharing my room with my wife

Everything else is fine. It was said the nudity will be censored (characters will be wearing clothes) and there will be less gore. The guy who got the game said it is gory but you can turn off the executions if you dont want to behead enemies.

yeah, I saw something similar somewhere else aswell...whats the deal with this..I know nit picking screen grabs is not the optimal way, but there does seem to be some degradation on console versions...any df analysis up yet?

Everything else is fine. It was said the nudity will be censored (characters will be wearing clothes) and there will be less gore. The guy who got the game said it is gory but you can turn off the executions if you dont want to behead enemies.

I think mature/adult content is a major part of the Witcher experience. I would rather play the full version than the toned down one. We have waited for over three years for this. A couple more weeks won't hurt.

The individual who came up with that comparison is claiming a downgrade for all versions, including PC. All of the screens are from the PC version, some of them taken from Geforce.com.

Personally, I can't say for sure without having played the game. Though, Geralt's hair is most definitely an upgrade. It was awful in the VGX 13 footage. There are certain other aspects that people on neogaf are bringing to light.

But like I said, this isn't substantial evidence, especially when talking about an open-world game. There are too many variables in play. The comparison could be flawed due to different ToD or different areas altogether. Will have to wait until the game is out before a conclusion can be drawn. DF's analysis will also be out by then.

Bro, this downgrade thing is going on for PC too. You know something, the draw distance is similar on PC, PS4 and Xbox One, as in there won't be a slider to adjust it like in a game like GTA V. Instead it varies in the execution of how the things in distance are rendered on the platforms.

Now can you honestly tell me that there is no difference in these shots? Which are not cherry picked BTW, they are all from the latest trailer showing the final version.

Also there is a video floating around that showed blood dropping on water and there are some really cool looking movements in the water, but the final version seems to have taken them out making it look less cool then before.

Even this sceen is an eye opener.

Foliage and its shadowing seems to be inferior in that scene, but not much else. The lighting model in the latest trailer is far superior. The 2013 trailer does not even have PBR implemented. They were based on the old renderer. And the new trailer does not have Geralt casting the Igni sign like in the 2013 trailer, so volumetric lighting on the monster and surrounding can't be judged effectively.

Edit: Found a shot from the trailer where Geralt is casting the Igni sign. Its a diferent camera angle but the fire changes the hue/tone of the scene quite a bit. Lighting engine has only gotten better imo.

But foliage and shadowing looks great in these screenshots however. Almost all comparisons are inconclusive so far due to different areas and TOD cycle. Even in the screenshots where the individual aspects look as good as anything shown before, we don't have an exact screenshot from the old build to compare it with.

It even reacts realistically to the Griffin's motion:

Not a single scene from the latest footage can compare to what we saw in 2013.

Thats unfortunate. I think the new build looks better in every regard in that comparison save for the foliage.

The bottom gif does not have the Aard magic which the above gif does, so that again is an invalid comparison. Though you're right about the bloodstains.

Ah, the days when I thought sans Miyazaki FromSoft was actually capable of making something decent. Hopefully the difference for TW3 is that they can make the gameplay fun even if the graphics have been downgraded.

It's going to be fun seeing people jump through hoops for this though.
