’s Family Claims the Actor Was Fired from The Walking Dead[/h]

[Warning: The Walking Dead spoilers ahead.]–
The family of a certain Walking Dead actor claims they were fired, following the shocking reveal in the 2017 midseason finale. Just hours after the episode aired, Chandler Riggs’ father claimed that his son was, in essence, booted from the show by AMC.
Riggs joined The Walking Dead as a baby-faced actor back in 2010 and is one of its biggest names. Since that time, the TV show and Riggs have grown up alongside each other and made the 18-year-old a key player over the course of the zombie horror series’ eight seasons to date.

Carl’s days are now numbered thanks to a fatal zombie bite, and it won’t be long until he is gone from the show for good. However, while his departure from the show seems like a natural progression, Riggs’ own father is claiming he was flat-out fired. Taking to Facebook (in a now deleted post), William Riggs used the business account “Chandler Riggs’ Dad’s Zombie Roadtrip Riggs’ Tours & Autographs” to write the following:

There has been a lot of speculation about why Carl was killed off, but most accepted that Riggs’ age and a possibility of going to university was the deciding factor in the move. Contrary to this, the post certainly makes it sound like the decision to leave wasn’t made by Riggs, and to be fair, the show has a chequered history of letting its stars go. Back in season 3 when the previous showrunner Glen Mazzara left to be replaced by Gimple, Laurie Holden’s Andrea was spectacularly killed off.
These days, there’s less and less of the “original” cast of the show left, and Riggs was one of only a handful still knocking around from the Frank Darabont days. Interestingly, many had tipped Carl to become an even bigger part of the show, or possibly even replace Rick Grimes as the leader of the survivors when Andrew Lincoln’s surly sheriff kicks the bucket. Given that Carl is still very much alive in Robert Kirkman’s comics of the same name, it will be interesting to see where the show goes from here.
The “All Out War” arc of season 8 promised some major deaths to “thin the herd,” while Riggs himself had teased big departures. That being said, Carl’s upcoming demise is easily one of the biggest twists that the flagging show has delivered in a while. Well, there goes that Old Man Carl theory doesn’t it?

The Walking Dead
returns to our screens in February of next year.

The Walking Dead: Carl ‘Might Not Die’ Teases Robert Kirkman

Talking about toying with audiences’ emotions, The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman is teasing that Carl Grimes survival. He might not actually die.
As one of the original characters in both The Walking Dead‘s comic book and television worlds, fans were shocked to learn that Carl suffered a fatal walker bite at one point in the first-half of season 8 of AMC’s hit zombie drama. However, with Carl very much alive in the comics (currently on Issue #175), there are major questions over who will take over Carl’s storylines in The Walking Dead comics. AMC’s top brass have already promised that someone else will carry on Carl’s comic legacy, but Kirkman himself has a different option: What if he doesn’t die at all?

Appearing at the Walker Stalker Cruise Q&A panel (via Comic Book), Kirkman toyed with the notion that Carl’s bite might not be as life-threatening as it looks:

“He’s not dead yet. He might not die. You never know. But I think if, were that to happen, I think that it would have some interesting ramifications on Rick, that I think would energize and really kind of set things in motion in a really interesting way leading to the resolution of All Out War in a way that will make for a very exciting back half to season 8, so I think it’s going to be really cool.”

With the show currently on hiatus, fans are eagerly waiting for the return of the midseason premiere and to see Carl possibly shuffle off to an early grave in “The Last Stand.” And Chandler Riggs’ swansong is sure to induce lots of emotions. After all, Walking Dead‘s midseason premiere made its own director cry. But no matter what Kirkman is teasing, audiences will eventually need to cope with the fact that, no, Carl is not going to survive.

It simply wouldn’t make sense to retcon Carl’s impending death. Plus, Kirkman himself defended the decision to kill off Carl. That being said, Carl’s infection is possibly the most divisive choice the series has ever made. From Riggs’ father to hordes of angry fans, many have been outraged at showrunner Scott Gimple’s choice to ax the popular character. Some have even called for him to be fired (Gimple is being replaced for TWD season 9 anyway), but viewers would feel a little cheated if Carl lived to fight another day.
There were promises that Walking Dead‘s season 8 would thin the herd, but the shock departure of Rick’s only son was a major twist. Theorists had pitched Baby Judith as the one to say her goodbyes in the midseason finale, but it was all the more poignant that it was actually Carl. For years, people have been guessing that Riggs would carry on the show after the eventual time that Andrew Lincoln departs as Rick Grimes, but we’ll have to pin our hopes on someone new. While many would love to see Carl carry on wearing his signature sheriff’s hat and fight the good fight against the Saviors, we’re just going to have to get used to the fact that he may have only one episode left.

The Walking Dead

S08, E14: Ok, I really wanna know what the story is behind that chopper. Interesting developments. Another relatively good episode.
Enjoyed seeing Negan open up while Rick going psycho mode, but also kinda felt bad for some of the saviors.

Season 8 finale: The episode could have been a lot better but there were some good surprises too. And at the same some, stupid shit as usual as well.

Looking back, it honestly just sucks to see that for the past two seasons, the series has been dicking around with the Negan/Saviours arc and executed it the way it did. IT COULD HAVE BEEN SO MUCH MORE, SO MUCH BETTER.

I finally felt relief/Happiness not because it was amazing but because it's finally over. I'm glad, if only for the sole reason of seeing all the Negan/Saviours stuff wrap up and the hope of series finally moving on to something better.

[h=1]The Walking Dead: Lauren Cohan to Appear in Fewer Episodes in Season 9[/h]

The Walking Dead star Lauren Cohan may indeed be coming back to play Maggie in season 9, but she won't appear in every episode. While that fact may be disappointing to fans of Maggie, they should be mindful that things almost turned out a lot worse for the character. Back in February, it was first reported that Cohan might not return for TWD season 9, due the multiple offers she was receiving to star in various pilots. That makes sense, as she's one of the cast members that rocketed from mostly unknown to big Hollywood name due to their stint on the series.
Plus, Cohan has been playing Maggie since back in season 2, and it's not hard to understand why she might want to do something different with her career at this juncture. Still, Walking Dead's producers stressed that they were trying to work out a new deal with Cohan, who reportedly was seeking a large pay raise that would put her more in line with some of her male co-stars. At one point, King Ezekiel actor Khary Payton even publiclyimplored AMC to "pay the woman." Whether she got exactly what she wanted is unclear, but it was confirmed in April that Cohan will return for season 9.

Unfortunately for Walking Dead fans, Lauren Cohan's return for season 9 comes with a catch. Before agreeing to come back, she had already booked a lead role in ABC pilotWhiskey Cavalier, which was eventually picked up to series. This means she'll have to split her time between the two shows. For now, TV Line reports that Cohan will appear in six of season 9's first eight episodes. Whether or not she'll appear in season 9's second half - or if so, how many episodes she'll appear in - is still up in the air.

As fans will recall, the resolution to Walking Dead season 8 seemed to be placing Maggie and Rick on a collision course due to Rick deciding not to kill Negan. Maggie is certainly entitled to want to see the Savior leader dead, after he brutally caved in the skull of her husband Glenn. Still, Rick definitely had his reasons for making the choice he made. While it's hard to imagine Maggie and Rick actually going to war after all they've been through together, the post-apocalypse leads to strange and unexpected things.
With Maggie appearing in less episodes of season 9 - and still not being certain for its second half - one wonders if the still currently pregnant Hilltop leader will be the next fan favorite to meet their end. On one hand, killing off a pregnant woman would be sure to receive lots of backlash. On the other, Walking Dead killed off Lori Grimes during childbirth back in season 3 - and then had her own son shoot her - so clearly the series isn't concerned about pushing the envelope of good taste.

[h=1]Scott Wilson, Walking Dead's Hershel, Dies at 76[/h]
Scott Wilson, who played popular character Hershel Greene on The Walking Dead, has passed away at the age of 76. Hershel memorably died on the show at the hands of The Governor, but since then, Wilson has appeared at a number of conventions - including Walker Stalker Con - and remained a favorite among fans.
Wilson started his Walking Dead journey back in 2011, when his character Hershel was introduced. His first appearance was in the episode "Bloodletting" in season 2, after Carl Grimes was accidentally shot. Hershel is able to save Carl's life because of his experience as a veterinarian, and had been living a secluded life on his farm with his family since the outbreak. He always had a strict moral code, and cared deeply for his daughters Maggie and Beth. As the show went on, Hershel became a mentor of sorts to Rick Grimes, and provided wisdom and advice to other main characters. Wilson took part in 37 episodes of The Walking Dead, with his last appearance coming in season 4.
As first reported by Comic Book, Wilson passed away today at the age of 76. Reports of the actor's death occurred after many people posted tributes honoring Wilson on social media, and those reports were later confirmed to be true. TMZ later revealed that Wilson "passed away peacefully at his home in L.A". Dominic Mancini, who worked as Wilson's rep, explained that the actor passed away as a result of complications from leukemia. Bizarrely, Wilson's death was confirmed not too long after Hershel was confirmed to appear in season 9 of The Walking Dead.

Wilson had been a well-known actor long before his time on AMC's hit show. Wilson started his acting career in 1967 with the film In the Heat of the Night, and later became known for roles in films like 1974's
The Great Gatsby, The Ninth Configuration, and A Year of the Quiet Sun. In the years after his time on The Walking Dead was up, Wilson appeared on the TV shows Bosch, Damien, and The OA. Most recently, he appeared in the movie Hostiles alongside Christian Bale and Rosamund Pike, as well as voiced his Walking Dead character in an episode of Robot Chicken.

Wilson's character on The Walking Dead had a big impact on the other characters, and fans often
credit Wilson's casting as one of the stronger decisions made by the show. Many actors have come and gone during the show's eight seasons, but none have been quite like Wilson. With season 9 looking to recapture the feel of earlier seasons, one can't help but look back and reminisce about Wilson's journey on The Walking Dead, and his career in general.

What is peoples obsession with Battle Royale genre. 6 minutes to find a match, 3 minutes to setup a match, 2 minutes to land, 10 minutes for scavanging maybe 2 3 gunfigts and its over. Multiplayer landscape is looking absolute dogshit.
I tried playing Apex Legends once. Couldn't find a gun for 5 minutes straight. If I found a gun, I couldn't find the right ammo for it. Got killed fighting with my fists. Uninstalled it the next day.
